Mine has once. Left it idle on the exosuit inventory screen for quite a while. Came back to the crash report screen.

Haven't had any crashes (knock on wood), though I have had a few issues

-Found that I couldn't reload my boltcaster, had to scrap it and replace it with a Blaze javelin
-Question marks for save waypoints don't seem to show up anymore when exploring a planet
-My restored base doesn't have floors in some areas and vegetation is growing through areas that do have floors along with several other glitched placements
-Issues getting stuff out of storage containers in my base
-No new mission triggering in base. Every time I interact with an employee it just says I should leave them to their work

I'd be jumping to PC, probably. Been looking at getting a gaming PC for a while, actually.

Im on PS4 and had same problem. You have to keep pushing the reload button (Square on PS4), don't just hold it down

Can anyone tell me how to unlock the agricultural terminal? Think I gotta get a blue print somehow. Not sure if I have to go back to another system or what.

My second planet from this new update restart is a frozen one. I just left a very hot one and landed on a frozen one. Can't catch a break.

That said, imagine my surprise when I somehow discovered a lake with what looks like sand surrounding it. It's not very big. I don't understand how it's possible when it's -60 F in the planet, but it exists.

I'll post a pic the next chance I get. For reasons that can only be explained by greed or stupidity, you cannot access your pictures from a web browser. It would seem like an obvious addition to the PS4.

                Re: No Man's Sky

I arrived in my 3rd system last night and I was immediately tripping as it's not black in space. It is PURPLE. It was so weird when I came out of the hyperdrive into it. I've only hit one planet so far in that system, a desert planet with freezing nights and temperate days. Cactus. Lot's of cactus.

I'm going to head back to the second system I visited as I found a perfect planet with water. Mainly lakes and streams so far...many of the streams are partially underground. And beaches. Hoping to see if I can find an ocean....haven't been around much of it. After that, it's off to my first moon.

I found the perfect planet. Wish I had a better screen shot but this is all I got right now. It’s the closest to earth I’ve found and has no environmental hazard.

You should build your base on that hill that looks like it was made in a sandbox.

I've found several planets like that, but there's one problem with all of those - Sentinels. EVERYWHERE. Survival just loves to give me planets where the Sentinels attack on sight, even if I'm not mining anything. It's pretty difficult to mine for base-building materials while having to deal with that.

Haven't found a really good habitable planet yet - that desert one with temperate days/freezing nights is still the best I've got. At least now it's easier to uproot and move somewhere else if I find a better one since I got the ship I was repairing off the ground.

What do you do when you uproot? My starter base is just sitting there and I’m wondering if I should just demo it or what.

Access your base computer and it'll give you an option to delete the base. Do that and all base structures you've built around that area will disappear.

When I said that I wasn't sure if I'd actually delete the base though - you can have multiple bases now so there's not really a pressing need to.

The freezing (and boiling point) of water are dependent on atmospheric pressure as well as temperature. That being said, some of the conditions do stretch the laws of physics. Then again, they laws of physics may not be the same in the NMS universe as they are in our own universe, so who knows.
