Love how they are just nerfing essentially everything while still selling freighters and ships for the same ridiculous amounts. These changes came at the perfect time for me because I’m about to go on vacation and I was going to really miss this game for a week. Now I don’t even care.

No Man's Sky
Idk, it doesn't bother me all that much, but probably only because I haven't invested the grind and the hour's that you guys have. And I didn't really have any interest in making a ton of money quickly, not there's anything wrong with that, just not my personal preference.
That said, I don't really understand it. We're not talking about a market place on an MMO where your resources sold/bought/farmed affect some economy. Having good mats or a badass ship means doesn't mean anything to anyone except you. If anything, the game world you play in should be customizable to your liking. It's essentially a single player (co-op but still single player driven) game anyway, so why time everyone down to one set of rules. Why make the grind anything more than you, the player in your own world, want it to be?
If I'd rather increase the drop rate or change the prices of items bought/sold sell at vendors by a percentage because that'd be more fun, then they should give you those options. A la Rust or Ark.
This is all my opinion obviously. Just seems like more options to tailor your world would best suit the type of game this is.

Re: No Man's Sky
I just found the exotic ship jackpot. I've had two exotic ships land on the space station I'm currently on in the last 3 minutes.
Both were tempting, 17 slots plus 5 tech slots. I'm waiting to see if I can score a perfect 20+6 tech exotic.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
To you vets, what are your thoughts on Survival?
Is it worth the extra "challenge" ? Or is the "challenge" more or less your defense systems drain quicker and you constantly are needing to focus on keeping mats to bring them back up

Re: No Man's Sky
I have just discovered the most ****ed up planet I have ever seen after warping into a green star system. It's actually kind of freaky and spooky running around on the surface.
Spoiler
Night is even creepier.
Spoiler
I have no clue what the hell kind of planet this is. The on-planet weather says Haunted Frost. And all buildings I can find are all labeled as "Boundary Failure". The planet description from space is "Crimson Planet".
All the planets sounds like they're bizarro worlds. There's an Incandescent Planet, Low Atmosphere Planet, Rocky Planet, Blighted Planet and Glassy Planet.Last edited by Smooth Pancakes; 08-13-2018, 10:31 PM.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Jackpot! I just found a sweet *** S class exotic ship. It's not perfect, it's only got 5 tech slots and only 17 slots instead of the max 20. But it was too sweet looking to let go!
This literally 5 minutes after I scored a S class hauler with a perfect full 48 slots and 8 tech slots on a freighter I landed on to check out if it was worth buying. And between the expensive as hell perfect slots S class hauler and the S class exotic, I am once again poor, lol.

Re: No Man's Sky
Yes! I just found my freighter. Hit a battle coming out of warp and had to take down something like 7 or 9 enemy ships. Landed on the freighter, it's a max slot (34 + 4 tech) A-class Imperial Class Star Destroyer, a varient of the Venator design freighter. Only one bigger for Venator design is the Resurgent Class, which I still hope to upgrade to at some point. But for now, this baby will do! Especially since it was free.
Now all that's left to do is find my goldilocks planet to settle a permanent main base and call home.

Re: No Man's Sky
SUCCESS!!!!! It took 89 warps, but I found my goldilocks! A flourishing planet with blissful weather and limited sentinels. I'm a minute away from a nuclear planet, a minute and a half from a hot planet, two minutes from a frost planet which has high temperature and dusty moons and one minute away from the space station in a Gek system with a balanced economy. I have found my goldilocks system! I'm home!Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Ugh, is there any chance of having the "land" and "tag" actions mapped to different buttons? I'm not even sure how much thruster fuel I've burnt through holding [] to tag a destination, only to break out the landing gear instead.
Or maybe I just need to change my flight habits, I dunno.www.heyimbill.com | sports poster art and other cool stuffComment

Yeah, I HATE that they have those both on the same button. I have burned through hundreds, hell, maybe even thousands, of uranium because I'd try to tag a location only to initiate landing. They really need to change that.Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Also, to add to my pictures of my new home planet/system, some pictures of my gigantic *** freighter, an A-class freighter with 34 slots that I got as my free freighter. In the last two photos, I had my ship down to as close to the freighter surface as the game would let me. That thing absolutely dwarfs my ship, and really just about everything. Even other freighters look tiny compared to that beast. And that's not even the biggest! There's an even bigger one like mine, that has 6 cargo bays along each side of the freighter, whereas mine only has four.
