That's the problem, when I do that, Fallout pauses. Am I doing something wrong?

Should I pass up on Corvega till I level up? Are all "dungeons" like that?

            Any help would be appreciated.

I spent a good hour or more last night trying to get to Corvega and then another hour or so trying to clear it. I kept running into stuff that was killing me on the way (raiders, ghouls, radscorpions, etc) and then it was pushing me back to my auto-save from before I found the mission-giver. Once I got in, I had a heck of a time, too. I think I'm a level 7 or 8 so I'm guessing that it's probably not impossible at 5, since I'm generally just not very good at this kind of game. Some hints in the spoiler.

I have a limp or limb crushing handgun. When that's equipped I always aim for an arm or leg because they will drop their gun or fall down. The gun doesn't do much total damage but it really messes them up and I use it when I'm lower on ammo, to maim or disarm then rush in with a machete and slice and dice. Otherwise for humanoid opponents head is obvious choice. Those damn mudcrap things I go for the legs because it slows them to a crawl and too many of them and you're dead.

I'm going to check my play time when I get home, but overall I've probably died like 30 times lol, it's rough out there!

I have a normal fully upgraded 10mm pistol that absolutely wrecks mirelurks, it fires so quick and has a huge clip, and since they can't walk without exposing their body, I just unload center mass and they drop before they even get close. I'm sure any of the rapid fire guns would be just as effective.

I felt that Corvega was a miracle job by me.

I was probably a level 5 at the time and just took my time sneaking around, drawing enemies away, using cover.

It's the mission that definitely sucked me in to this game 100%

If you go in guns blazing without the benefits of a higher level and perks, you are making it too hard for yourself.
