Doing it with one character and multiple save points. Scoured the Web for a spoiler free guide that lays out where to make hard saves to come back to and take the other branch. Done with the Institute and am working through BoS now. I'll do Railroad last and then pick which ending I like most and go with that save for the DLC and beyond.

Re: Fallout 4
Are there any other good ways to truly combat radiation? I have a crapload of power armors and cores, so I can just do that, but don't always like being in the armor....
At the same point I'd hate to lose all my armor, so kinda hit or miss i guess. Might just use power armor and call it a day.
Oh, I did read that Kotaku highly recommends playing through DLC with Nick as your companion....tons of dialog things for him, just FYINintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Fallout 4
^ IIRC there is a radiation suit that you can find which gives you 1000 protection against radiation. However, I don't think you'd survive a big fight if you were wearing it. Not sure if you can add the fabric upgrades to make it like real armor or not...Comment

I'll have to look into my options, the rad suit might be good for walking around town possibly. Just feel clunky always being in the suit.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Fallout 4
Nothing better than having to start all over because you ****ed up when adding new quests. I was running some quests for the railroad that I needed to turn into PAM but I can't because security blah blah blah has been activated. And it turns out that I can't do anything about it. And it's because I got the Tactical Thinking quest. So I am now pondering starting all over, which I was going to do anyways. But I am loving the weapons I found in this play through. I have like 4/5 main legendary weapons that I am loving. My 2 .10MMs (one grants 25% more DAM and the other does 50% more against super mutants). My shotgun that has targets bleed for 25 seconds of additional damage. And that .44 you get. It pisses me off that you side with a certain faction before you finish the game.Comment

Yes, I did all that and enjoyed it....you can talk as Shroud and it's fun. My male voice actor's shroud voice would make me chuckle ever time.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Not the clearest explanation but that part of the game is a back and forth Web of quests.

That and while I may play the story again down the road, I don't want to have to play it three or four times to try and experience every branch path, so knowing exactly when I absolutely reach the point of no return on stuff and must hard save before going forward will make things much easier.
As well as making the attempt for all the trophies in one run (at least as few runs as necessary) much easier to accomplish.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
I deleted my level 40 character a while back by accident when the survival update came out..... I was already on survival difficulty when it released. Anyway, I heard it was supposed to switch to very hard then ask you if you wanted to go back to survival and once you did you couldn't go back
Well mine didn't ask anything. I was close to a bed and then that's when it said you can't go back once you do. I had no idea it deletes any and all previous saves...... It's my fault and I understand it would be cheating to hope between the difficulties when it comes to being on survival, but for some reason I had a brain fart and thought I could continue the new save on survival and then finish playing the very hard on a earlier save
I should have just started a new guy regardless because survival requires(or at least helps a lot)different kinds of perks you wouldn't use all that much and such on the easier settings

Re: Fallout 4
The latest Far Harbor DLC is the biggest seen in Fallout 4 - but comes with some serious frame-rate issues. Tom plays through to its rough spots, where a fog effect drags PS4 performance down to 15fps.
