Kotaku is saying it's a brand new type of game in the Fallout Universe, but won't give any more details because they don't want to spoil it.

I don’t see it being remasters of FO 3 or NV because those could be shown a trailer during their E3 showcase. I hope they aren’t hyping this up only to reviel it’s a Overwatch type of game with Fallout characters.

Ugh! I hope that's not true. Online means no sale for me. If so, I guess I'll just have to wait and hope that they don't pull the same thing on Fallout 5.

It's very possible it's just a regular fallout game. I think we tend to speculate too much.

I wonder if this will be a "major" title in Fallout releases, or if it is more of a stop-gap until Fallout 5 releases (sometime around 2021-22). I guess New Vegas was released only two years after Fallout 3, but I never played through New Vegas entirely, so I'm not super familiar with its scope relative to Fallout 3.

If I had to guess, I'd imagine this will be a smaller scale title. I don't know that it is set entirely within the vault, but I suppose that's possible. Maybe it is a different genre, as some have speculated, Online shooter or co-op of some kind? Battle Royale? If Bethesda is at E3 this year, I suppose we'll find out more soon enough.

I hope it's not only online.

My thought is that maybe it's a fallout game where they're introducing co-op and possibly a PVP mode? A way for them to slowly wade into adding that to a Fallout game and then Fallout 5 is a full single player with add on stuff like that?

Yeah, not holding my breath. Or hoping the online nature could be fun for someone playing single player...not interested in Destiny or something like that, but we'll see.
