Basically you're in a post-apocalyptic world and in 3 your father leaves the Vault 101 which you are living in. And then when you hit 18 you decide to do the same thing and search for your father (Liam Neeson) in the Wasteland (Washington DC). Then after finding your father, you find out he is working on a water purification project and you help complete the project. Also there are a ton of side missions that I can't even describe because they are all so different from capturing slaves to helping a person in writing a survival guide. Honestly you can get the game of the year edition for probably under $20, and if you have nothing else to play pick it up. I got like 4 years ago and been playing it off and on and still haven't finished everything.

I got 3 game of the year for 8 bucks like, years ago.

Preordered on Xbox with points....waiting for my code for Fallout 3 too....

Hoping BC can come sooner somehow...I've pulled my Xbox One's out of the preview program...is November still the timeframe? be nice to play sooner for sure

Bethesda has been very tight lipped regarding the story line of 4 but they talked a little bit at Gamescom earlier this month about it while also saying they won't reveal anything else till launch.

As rumours had predicted, Fallout 4 will be primarily set in Boston, Massachusetts, though the player will explore other areas of New England, better known in the series as the Commonwealth. Interestingly, the game will actually start just before the bombs were dropped, letting you experience the events of fatal day on October 23 2077. Your character will leave his or her home to take shelter in Vault 111, where they awake 200 years later to discover they are the sole survivor, and that they haven't aged. Why? Probably cryogenic freezing.

Yeah, I ordered Sunday so should get it over the next few days....

More hoping that the Dashboard program guys get it available for BC so then I can friend someone and get access now. I'd love to be able to play through some of 3 before 4 releases. I beat 3 but that was years ago....

I hope the DLC is included with it. The game is almost incomplete without it.

Yeah...I own the Anchorage one but didn't buy the next one if I remember right...probably end up buying more eventually...they just need to get the BC working though

One more Pip Boy version available as I finally cancelled mine. Just not worth the extra cost for a trinket I will just shelf. Went digital on Steam as this figures to be a game I would never sell or stop playing anyway.

That's crazy, that's like an entire game on it's own. Personally I'd build at least 2 settlements but I'd probably finish the game entirely before building my first and just do all the settlement stuff end-game. For me managing all that mid-game might be too much.

I can't believe it's that in-depth with power and water and happiness and defenses and people coming to live and raid there etc. Now I understand the whole over-ambitious quote from todd howard - it seems extremely hard to pull that off all ON TOP of the regular game.
