How long/big is this game compared to Skyrim. Big as in map size particularly compared to Skyrim.

Fallout 4 Director answer to that question:

"I avoid answering that, and I'll tell you why. If you look at our previous stuff, it's kind of like that. We don't actually measure it like that. Because Skyrim is one size, but the mountains take up a lot of space.

That's not really a game place, it's in your way, you have to go around it, so we're not really doing that. In the city, it's very dense, but there is no load - like in Fallout 3, there's a load - for areas of the city, we don't do that. So it's very dense, the buildings are tall, and a lot of them are open, so you can just walk in and around, so... it's big. I wouldn't say, you know, if you played Skyrim, I couldn't tell you it's X bigger, so we're just saying it's about the same size."

also hinted that Fallout 4 gameplay length will surely going to be over 400 hours...

I rarely keep games once I finish them being able to get something towards a different game via a trade is cool, so console for me.

Now with that said.. if the PC version was a "blow away the console version" then yeah I'd go PC.

You guys are forgetting the modding capabilities. Fallout games have a big modding community which can alter every aspect of the game. If someone has a decent pc must buy the game on that platform. In 2 months time he/she will probably have a new game with mods and the replayability will be skyrocketed.

Can you let us know spoiler-free how the Xbox One version looks/plays/feels? I don't expect graphics to rival other games, because they're so deep/different/open, but does it feel like a great upgrade?

Mods will be playable on console.

I'll believe it when it happens. They can promise anything they want but it's way too risky to allow mods on consoles. Ofc we're not talking about graphics mods (there's no way this will happen on consoles), most probably we're talking about simple mods like skins and such. Still it's risky to apply mods on consoles. A mistake, a bad script could ruin the whole machine.
Also we have to wait what Sony and MS think about that.

Fallout 4

On my cellphone so I don't want to spoil/(spoiler tags on a iPhone 6??)anything but I'm about a hour in and I don't know what to say.

Game is Fallout that's for sure. Crazy events right from the start.

Graphics are better than the last but I need to see more to give an honest opinion.

Movement feels about the same but character movement is smoother.
