I failed one over the stupidest reason very early in the game.....

It was one where you have to go into the water and turn those valves. Once you do you are supposed to get out and talk to the guy you helped

Well while I went to talk to him two of those crab monsters came out and attacked us. They killed him so I failed .....

I'm not sure if they were supposed to attack you or if it was random. It was kinda funny though

The Glowing Sea is stupid and annoying and I hate it.

        That is all.

Noticed a lot of you are building settlements. I'm going to get into that but not until I'm half-way or more through. Right now I'm going the gun mod route and levelling up so I can continue to build my high-powered sniper rifle.

I've got a working one now, but once I get gun nut 3, I'll be turning it into a 50cal rifle!

My build is sneak from far and take out baddies with the sniper, then up close and personal with fists, meelee and shotguns - no in between.

I was at my home base when the settlement got attacked. It was one raider and he got wrecked. The girl I assigned to guard hit the raid siren and people came out of their beds and killed the guy before I could get to him..lol.

Basically the NPcs will pull their guns out and talk trash while they shoot - "you're gonna regret coming here!" was one thing I heard. It was a pretty great little piece of random chaos.

Inventory management really needs some tweaks. Just had the most fun time trying to figure out how to swap armor and mod pieces on a power suit.

For some reason armor pieces stored in the workshop can't be modded or installed onto the suit. Those heavy *** armor pieces need to be in your personal inventory to get mods or installed onto the suit.

I just put a container next to my power armor rack so i dont have to move very far with it.

What really needs work is the settler job management. I just spent 30 minutes going in circles miss assigning the same settler to multiple jobs erasing their previous job. So I ended up having to get specific clothing for positions. So all my farmers are wearing burlap bags on their heads just so I don't accidentally reassign them to the shops in town. The ability to either name them or a tag similar to supply line workers would have solved that issue.

For those who wanted a way to add notes to the map. You can use http://fallout4map.com/ . You have to sign up then you can use add note at the top right set a marker with a note. Click hide all on the left to remove all the map markers that are on by default.

Anyone have any idea why lamps I place down are on when I initially place them but I can't get them back in after I toggle them to off?

Pretty sure you don't have to take armor off a frame to repair/modify it, I don't remember taking any armor off the frame when doing that.

Also, the interface for building settlements is trash. It's frustrating enough that I don't think I am going to bother, I'll fortify my base of operations (red rocket) with automated turrets and walls, then be done. It's not worth fighting the clunky build interface, nor the unpredictable AI messing with my stuff.

Yeah you can leave it on the frame as long as it has some health left. But if it gets destroyed it has to be in your inventory not the workshop.

I had the same problem/annoyance in the beginning when I was messing around with Sanctuary. Walls not aligning, ceiling not going in certain spots, doors, etc. so I did the basic missions and go back there from time to time just to experiment.

It seems like a great feature just needs some more ironing out. Hopefully after I have toyed around with it some more in-between missions ill be able to overlook the annoyances and build some cool stuff.

Or if you're trying to mod a piece, has to be on the suit or in personal inventory.
