Wise choice. I did that a few days ago when he spammed off topic with multiple posts just saying "sorry I have to do this so I can put a link in another thread"

    I'm surprised he's still here.

Looks like Target will be offering some exclusives. I think I may get the cola.

When you first draw your weapon you are aiming it (in third person). If you do not hold down L2 (to continue to aim the gun) eventually the PC lowers it. From this point you're holding your gun while walking and moving around casually. It looks really, really good with a two-handed weapon. In fact, it's probably more realistic this way. How often do (or would) people holster a two-handed plasma rifle on their backs? They'd just hold it in front of them. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see holstered weapons and I think a mod (or maybe even an update from Bethesda) will add it. But I've already learned to deal with it. At first it was driving me nuts.
Awesome to hear! Can't wait to read some more impressions. Living vicariously through you atm.

Gagnon, what is the "point" to building a settlement. Does it affect the story at all?

I would venture to say building your own settlement allows for developing commerce, trade routes and a way to get supplies and income for your character?
I am highly intrigued by this in depth feature.

Hardcore mode was in New Vegas, you had to eat/sleep/hydrate regularly or you would die.

                      OOh, that sounds pretty cool.
Yeah, that would be sweet if FO4 had that dynamic.

                      Thanks for the info!

Maybe they could add it in with a patch or in one of the DLC's that come out.

I don't think it's really tied into the main quest. I could be wrong. I've spent the better part of three hours now messing with it. There's a lot to it, which is a good thing. Once you have multiple settlements and establish trade routes I'm sure there will be some benefits.
