Oh man, the first time it was tough, just due to the size of the place and how easy it was to get lost in there. I did some weapon upgrades and things are a lot easier now. I use rifleman as my perk and it hits very hard if you have a good legendary rifle.I have a feeling it will not be as bad this time.

I went and got another power armor frame. I was in mine so I had Piper get in. Once I got back to the settlement I tried to talk to her so she would get out, and it would just click and not let me have dialogue. I drop her as a companion and come back after another mission and the suit is just sitting out by itself. But I can't get in it or do anything now. When I talked to her again, she had a lot of dialogue with me and then I unlocked her to where she will sleep with me now.

I just want the power armor frame..lol. Not a huge deal but it would be nice to get it back.

Hopefully someone has encountered this because I am slightly nervous about my current game save. I am at the last quest in the line of settlement quests and I never received the Starlight Drive-in quest. I happened upon the drive in before I really dove into the settlement story line and cleared it just scavenging it. I'm slightly concerned now since it never opened up that I may have hit a bug. Anyone have the drive in open outside the quest line?

Yep this was the problem I was having. I figured it out now, but it was tough to under stand at first.

I was walking around in a power armor frame and helmet until I figured that out..lol.

Yeah it popped up pretty early in my quest line. Maybe if you go to the diner in front an defend that, it may help. You could also go and just clear it out and build a recruitment radio antenna. That may trigger it.

I ended up fortifying the place last night. Managed to build a wall around the entire place because I saw Mutants and raiders approaching from the backside. The secret for me was to use shack foundations. That can really help a lot.

That's my concern. It's completely clear now and I can't get the settlement builder UI to pop up.

Have you ever been able to get the settlement UI to pop up? I never got a quest and was able to use it as soon as i found it. Just to be sure you have opened the little shed that the workbench is in right?

I thought that too, but the story/dialogue seems to pick up a notch once you make it to Diamond City. I just got a little bit beyond that part and it's already infinitely more interesting than just the settlement quests. (Which are still fun to do anyways, IMO).

I just got to diamond city. I burned though most of my other missions and wasn't sure if I was ready for the castle yet so I figured it was time to make some story progress. Also spent 4 hours building a fort in sanctuary so I wasn't about to do that again at the castle immediately haha

Yep. Did all that. Had you started the settlement line before you cleared it? I'm hoping that maybe it was just a timing thing where I stopped by there and cleared it before settlement building was an option and then later since it was already cleared it never gave me the quest line. I'll have to swing by there tonight after wrapping up the last quest to see if its open.

About to head into corvega myself, already cleared everything I could find around it, probably should bring a stealth boy with me just in case.

Did you use the workbench in the shed? It should tell you if something is wrong or open it up to be settled.

Got me some T-60 last night, now I'm gonna go back and hit up some harder areas that destroyed me the past few days in t-45 and no power armor.

Came across a kid in a fridge yesterday...
