Have you guys been watching the videos they have been putting out each week? I'm not sure what attributes to invest in since most of them look useful.

As with all rpg you'll have to raise attributes depending on the type of character you're gonna play. In Fallout I typically go with agility perception and intelligence. Agility for more shots in vats. Perception for accuracy in VATS, lockpicking, and to get the jump on random encounters. Intelligence for bonus to medical, science, repair rolls and for more skills points.

I like how the skill tree seems to be set up...Will make it a lot of fun building your character.

I love VATS, so I'll probably be going there (unless the regular shooting wins me over). I more like slowing things down and being strategic.

So hyped for this...wish Fallout 3 was BC now!

I love me some VATS too. Ammo usually isn't exactly plentiful so the spraying and praying thing doesn't work out so well for me a lot of times.

Exactly...I know some people aren't VATS fans, but one of my favorite aspects that make this different from other games. Add in the perk that explodes people on death and you get some awesome cutscenes lol

Yeah I hated VATS. Was useful though to spam it when in subways, etc as to not get snuck up on. HATED GHOULS, SCARED ME.....

I'm embarrassed that I never finished Skyrim. I feel like I should go back to it and try to finish it before FO4. Unfortunately I sometimes fatigue on open world gaming if I play too much. I would hate for that to happen before Fallout.

I'm the same way. I realized I just can get into that type of world (Skyrim, Oblivion, Game of Thrones).

I love Skyrim but its just not as easy to get 100 hours of gaming in anymore. With so many huge open world games coming out every year I need to pick 1 or 2 and skip the rest.

This. I always get AC each year, but I'm thinking FO4 is the only SP game I get until next year. Just don't have time to pour hours into all these great SP games like I used to. I'll slowly pick them up over the next few months and play them all, but FO4 is priority #1 right now.

This is what I'm doing. I'll get some other games on sale over the next year, but with FO4, and Games with Gold, and EA Access I'll have enough stuff I can play without buying things.

I'm really trying to beat games when I can.

I wonder if/when I'll be able to preload this on Xbox One (since I'm buying digitally)....

You're definitely NOT the only one. In the history of RPG open world games, I've finished zero!!!!!! Well, actually I finished the Batman series (not 100%), but the true open world sand box games, I haven't finished any.

So true. I have only finished two open world games:

                                GTA III
                                Vice City

That's it. And that was before kids when I had more time than I would know what to do with today.

I am still playing Skyrim on and off....and I love it. I have my original and only character build and still have so much left to do and this is after 275 hours!!! The beautiful thing about Skyrim is the simplicity of the controls and being able on a whim to transport myself back into this world. It's refreshing.

FO4 looks to be that game for me but on the PS4. I am getting this day 1 and will immerse myself and simply transport myself into this world. I am sure I will drop 75-100 hours into it within 3-4 months initially. Then it will be a matter of when I am in the mood to get into this character I will create and develop....I will pop the game in.

I have never been one to create multiple builds. I really put a lot of thought into my character build before I even put the game in. With Skyrim I purchased the hardcover collectors guide and read it carefully about character races, builds, abilities, magic, weapons etc etc and put a ton of thought into the base of my character which ended up being a High Elf Destruction Battle Mage. Even though there were better races to do this I loved the High Elf's born abilities. And I developed others along the way.

For Fallout I will again purchase the Vault Dwellers hard cover guide. Read it thoroughly in regards to S.P.E.C.I.A.L.S. and perks. And figure out what my base build will be. I then let the game takes it's course in deciding who I ultimately become.

But I stick with that character and immerse myself into the story line. I get the most satisfaction playing RPG's that way.

I did the same with Dragon Age Orgins as well. Stuck with one build all the way till the end.
                                Now Playing on PS5:
                                CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
