I had to force myself not to play today. I've logged 29 hours since Wednesday night. Quite a bender....with a terrible stomach bug. I picked a good game to play when I'm sick.
I did the same thing, that's why I restarted at that point haha

You'll be okay. It just puts you ahead of the curve a little bit. Without a level cap eventually everyone will max out the perks their SPECIAL stats will allow and end up leveling stats again in order to unlock more perks.

Each one of those stat increases you did did help your carry weight, or your accuracy, or your vats points, etc anyway so they did benefit your character when you raised them.

I have to say that is one of the things I am loving about his game. Is the no level cap. Because I had a hard time in 3 with what perks I wanted to get/upgrade. Also having the strategy guide is really helping me when choosing which perks to get. Because it tells you what each perk gets you. For instance if you choose to get pickpocket 1, it says in the guide, "pick pocketing is 25% easier". So that really helps me.

Yea it's great. It's the only game I have been playing the past 3-4 days. And I have so many different games to play and complete. And this game is definitely going to stop me from doing that.

I have been trying to clear up some of my back log, but I finally said its time for Fallout 4 to eat up all of my gaming time.

                Oh no...

                Ohhh **** NOOOOOO!!!!

Well, I'm at level 28 and about 60 hours in... Lol. So no restarting for this wastelander...

                Wow.

Not the end of the world, but damn it I would have loved to have had some of these perks earlier in the game.

I was wondering how some of you were getting certain perks so early on, and this would definitely explain all of that.

I got that perk just for the durr noises the vault boy makes. IMO, the female ones are even better.

You know what kills me... Damn dead bodies do not decay. I destroyed Covenant and come back eons later it seems and the bodies are all still there. No one took over settlement, the bodies are in perfect shape, its just dumb. I then have to drag them all out where they will sit for eternity in their Bethesda embalming fluid, perfectly preserved.

While that's a nice thought it would be actually better if the game gave us that option and dynamically altered the game to take into account someone who wants to be that ruthless. The Raiders have those kinds of "messages" littered around their hideouts and the mutants have their meatbags and what not. To me this game still "plays" like last gen with next gen graphics because I don't see the dynamics in play that I was expecting to see. Maybe I need to check my expectations, but that's my $.02 cents.

I just finished the Silver Shroud quest last night and loved it, but this game does feel a little dated.

Loading times, settlement building is more tedious than fun, bugs and glitches, etc. Bethesda's games have provided me with a tremendous amount of fun but their style is beginning to wear thin.

Agreed and the same thing continues to bother me about Bethesda games...at least the console versions. That being everything is on such a micro level. Settlements are small, clusters of people are small, battles are small. More emphasis is put into the size of the world but then there's buildings boarded up that I can't knock through and the mayor of crystal city wants to give a speech...but to an audience of 10 people...but it seems like the game wants me to imagine a larger audience. They need to scale their games better in this regard.
