Re: Time to step up to the X-Box plate?

I have both and they both get equal amounts of playing time. Since I'm a EA sports player, my PS2 handles all that and I usually buy action games on the XBOX, but I'm not really a action gamer. You cant really go wrong with ethier but I'm not gonna lie, the selection of PS2 games easily overwhelms anything the XBOX has to offer. If you like alot of non-sports games, the PS2 is the way to go IMO. If you want better graphics and no memory cards (which is always a plus) then the XBOX is the way to go.

If you can afford both, go for both. I dont know what I'd do if I did'nt have one or the other.

I used to be PS2 only. Then when Xbox Live came out and I realized PS2 online sucked, at least for the games I wanted to play, I bought an Xbox. After the only PS2 game I played was NCAA 2004 online pretty much since I got an Xbox, I sold the ps2. Only games that have made me miss it is MVP for online play, and Smackdown SYM.

I don't think any sports gamer should be without an Xbox. If you have the money, keep both.

I also hear rumors that EA Sports will support X-Box Live now that Microsoft isn't making their sports lineup anymore. Anyone feel the same?

I feel the same exact way. Although I play my XBOX more than my PS2, I will not give it up.

I made the switch about a year ago and the only game I come even remotely close to missing is Teh Winning 11 soccer series. Other than that I of course have a bunch of sports games and titles like Amped, Project Gotham Racing, Knights of the Old Republic, Splinter Cell etc... are more than enough to keep me busy. Xbox Live is awesome and there are some great games coming out this year (fable, full spectrum warriors, Star Wars Battlefront to name a few). I also wouldn't mind an updated RAW game. Smackdown is another ps2 game i miss.

I have both also and the only time my PS2 gets any use is to watch a dvd. Last time I played my PS2 is when Vice City came out.
