Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Girlfriend surprised me with this tonight. I played and beat Arkham Asylum, but didn't get around to playing Arkham City or Origins.
Pretty excited.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
This is my first Batman game, which I finished the game earlier today so a few thoughts I have:
Spoiler
- Graphics are incredible
- It's amazing how much content can be input into an RPG game on the PS4
- Don't care for the story line; fear toxin? Meh...
- After the Cloudburst takedown, the rest of the story felt like an add-on and too predictable. I LOVED the game up to that point and was honestly a bit disappointed. After the game ended, I really wished there were more plot twists as I enjoy stories which I cannot decipher
- I completed all the side missions (except the Riddler) and they were all too repetitive. I enjoyed it, certainly, but I wish they had to do with the plot more. Felt like an Assassin's Creed mod.
- 243 Riddler trophies? I want 100% but not that badly...
- Batmobile was awesome but do wish it was involved in the story differently and more so, there were more gadgets & things to use
- The fighting mechanics felt like Mortal Kombat with a bunch of button mashing; is this normal?
- The assisted take downs with Robin and Nightwing were fun; I would have liked more of it
- LOVE LOVE LOVE how they incorporated the Joker; hilarious comments at times, also really neat way to transition to different story lines and the buildup to the climax
- ...my first Batman game and I really did enjoy it; I think, however, it will make me appreciate MGS5 much more [with all due respect]
One more thing.
This idiot Pyg guy took me forever to beat...I'd beat his minions but couldn't get the environmental takedown buttons hit just right. I spent 1.5 HRs killing this moron.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
You need to get both city and origins then. All 4 arkham games are great but city is the best and origins very underrated and you can get them cheap now.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I just made it to the cloudburst mission with the tanks... I guess my only concern is that I didn't finish all of the side missions and it seems like the main story line is almost over... Is it ok that i haven't finished all of the side missions yet?

EDIT: I guess you're talking about stuff like the Assassin's contracts and killing the legendary ships in Black Flag, but I guess they're not too similar to me.
You shouldn't be mashing that many buttons, you press it once, then again or counter, use gadgets, use your takedowns, it takes some getting used to but like you said it's your first Batman game so it's not too surprising. But Mortal Kombat only has button mashing if you don't know how to play and this is pretty much the same.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 07-27-2015, 07:29 PM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
The missions are definitely repetitive, but I guess they really changed Assassin's Creed with Unity because I've played all of them other than that one and none of them have side quests anything like Batman to my recollection.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Rocksteady either ran out of time, resources, or passion.
Easily the most repetitive and disappointing Arkham game. What a disappointing effort after the amazing Asylum and City and the severely underrated Origins (Montreal).Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I don't find this game disappointing or repetitive at all. I love it.
I wish Rocksteady could make other one-off DC games.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 07-28-2015, 05:16 PM.Boston Red Sox

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
It's weird. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, but I wouldn't exactly thrilled with it either. For me it was very middle of the road. The potential was there, but it never got close to reaching any of it.

Hell, I really want them to make an Arrow or Flash game. And even if I buy the only copy, I'd enjoy the hell out of an Aquaman game.Boston Red Sox
