Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Nice shots - FYI for anyone that's playing, those pics do have some spoilers, and aren't just hidden for size or anything.
Here are a couple more from me, spoilering for size/amount. Don't think there are any spoilers here. I like the Toxic filter for Riddler challenge shots. At least I think it's Toxic...really makes the green pop.
Spoiler
Anyone else really like Batman's lame joke comments when interrogating Riddler dudes running around town?
"Tell me about Riddler!"
"Okay, I'll tell you everything!"
"Good choice." ::headbutt::Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I just finished the main story as well as every side mission except for the final Riddler battle. If I were to YouTube the final Riddler battle as well as the 100% ending, would it ruin that much of the experience for me or should I force myself to find all of the Riddler crap?
Anyone in the same boat? It seems widely documented on the web, but I can't believe I have to find 200+ trophies to see a 5 min cutscene after all this.Comment

After trudging through Halo 1 on legendary for that little cutscene, nothing will seem like to much.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
(Batman stands over a guy and puts his foot on his head.)
"You and me, we're going to talk about Riddler."
"Yeah. Yeah, sure. Whatever you say."
"You're too kind." and then he knees him in the face.
(Batman holding a guy around the neck)
"I'm gonna count to one...and then I get mad."
"Agh. I'll talk. God, I'll talk."
"You've been very helpful." and another headbutt.
These are great.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Finished the main story this morning. Pretty cool ending of events. Story-wise, I still think Arkham Asylum was my favorite. This was definitely good though.
Now working through all the Most Wanted missions. I have about 4 of them finished already. The Gotham creature side-story was pretty good.
I think overall game I have about 53% completed.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
About 97% complete. About 120 Riddler Trophies and I'm done!
Loved the game. Loved the Batmobile.
The only thing I didn't like about the Batmobile, and it's a mission.. not the Batmobile itself. The Cloudburst mission. Hated it.--

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I'm on the cloudburst mission now. Awesome effect though. I'm 78.4% complete overall. The only side objective that I won't finish will be the Riddler. Sorry but I shouldn't have to complete all 243 riddles just to fight the guy.
Overall, good game but I can see why a lot of fans were disappointed and let down. Even though im not a Batman fan, I have felt disappointed and let down while playing through the game just because it could have been so much more than what it is.Last edited by daniel77733; 08-17-2015, 01:18 AM.Comment

FYI, for those that can't find the side quests, if you hit R2 when the quest is highlighted on the quest wheel, it usually puts a marker down.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I felt the same way with the ending "boss" battle with Pyg.
Could not get that environmental takedown to work and the idiot kept cutting me with the knife. Took me 2.5 HRs to finally take him down.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Yea I know but my issue is the stupid line launcher when holding down l3 while gliding won't work.
I tried it at the riddle location & with the force field & even drove back into the city launched myself into the air from batmobile eject & tried holding the l3 button down again & still won't work & yet the line launcher is selected as at bottom of screen says to hold down l3 to perch tried it nothing
What am I doing wrong or is it broken plz help thx

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Finished the game. 96% complete overall. All side content completed 100% except for the Riddler which finished at 68%. Seriously, im not going through 200+ riddles. No way.
Breakdown in my opinion -
Graphics, Character Models, Animations, Environments and Atmosphere - 10/10
Music, Sound Effects and Voice Acting - 8/10
Gameplay, Camera, Controls and AI - 8/10
Story, Characters and Objective Variety - 7/10
Other which includes side content, extras and length - 7/10
Overall - 8/10
SUMMARY (contains story and other spoilers) -
SpoilerBatman Arkham Knight was the first game in the franchise that I played through and completed. Played Arkham Asylum but quit about halfway through. Never played Arkham City or Arkham Origins.
I enjoyed the side content but like most open world games, there's too much of the stuff that should be minimal and too little of the stuff that should be more. Except for the Riddler stuff (even though I did complete the story but didn't fight him), I finished everything 100%.
To be perfectly honest, it was very disappointing that there were few boss fights and those were average at best simply because you're in the Bat mobile every damn time. I would say that at least 70% of the game requires you using the Bat mobile which it made it feel like Batman was the secondary character as opposed to being the main character.
If Rocksteady would have made the side quests that involved the Penguin, Riddler, etc. better and have you fight them at the end and then take them to GCPD, it would have been a lot better. Instead, all the fights are a joke. Way too many Riddler stuff. 50 should have been the maximum. Sorry but too many. Other stuff like with Lucious or Two-Face were just too damn short.
The potential for this game to be a 9+ for me and a great ending despite me not being a Batman fan is just nuts and so much left on the table. Way too focused on the Bat mobile. Another negative was when switching between Nightwing and Catwoman. Both badly underutilized and misused.
Being required to complete all the riddles and whatnot in order to fight the Riddler as well as being able to get the "knightfall 100% ending" is beyond horrible. Story wise, my friend explained it so it makes sense all around but I honestly didn't really enjoy it. Despite being dead, The Joker overshadows all the other characters and despite being dead, makes all the other villains look weak in comparison. Ending was weird to say the least. Some of it makes sense but still weird. And to have no ending boss fight with the Scarecrow was a disappointment and one of the side quests that should have been in the game but isn't was those 2D plat forming Scarecrow segments that were in Arkham Asylum.
I could go on and on but instead, I'll just end my summary with this - in general, a good game and worth playing but as a Batman game in which it's supposed to be the finale from Rocksteady, it's a disappointment and letdown in my opinion.Comment
