Go to the upgrade screen, the moves list for Batman combat and Batmobile combat along with all the other gadgets is right there.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
This game seems to be the ultimate in 'what works for some doesn't work for others' apparently. I absolutely love this game and I think some of the complaints are a little blown up. Granted some of the missions can get Batmobile heavy, I don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be. Could just be that I've spent my entire life playing Batman games and the Batmobile has never gotten the love it deserves until this game, but honestly I'm just not seeing some of the complaints. The Batmobile fights get a lot better once you upgrade the Batmobile, gliding through the city does as well once you upgrade Batman's grapple boosts. You can play almost completely without the Batmobile with Batman's full grapple abilities.
Having said that, I think what they were going for was trying to make you actually be more of a detective in this, but I don't think it really translated that well because it's easy to just get lost with how they've done it. One of the most frustrating things about the game is being tasked to track down things on your own. For example, the side mission where the Arkham Knight plants the bombs in the ground and you have to disarm all of them. You pretty much have to drive around the entire city to find the bombs yourself. I found the majority of them by accident from driving around doing other things. Finding the firefighters is a pain in the *** because you have to find them on your own. Granted, you'll sometimes get intel from the GCPD or Nightwing about the next step to take in those missions, but when you're ready to start tackling a specific sidemission, but can't because there's no way point telling you where to go that's annoying.Comment

Riddler race trials question:
So I beat the first one but the second race didn't open up. So I just watched a YouTube video to see if I did something wrong, and apparently after completing the race, I'm supposed to approach a green wall and switch over to
SpoilerCatwoman.
????? I haven't met that person yet.
Do I need to complete certain missions before the game opens up?Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I have always wanted these games to put more detective work in the gamers hands, but given there's been 3 games of batman already where in each one you really didn't have to do much detective work there should have been more in the way of tutorial or gameplay information letting us know that a lot of the activities other than the main story rely on our own wits and/or random searching.
I haven't played far enough to know if we have access to the batcave but it would've been a lot cooler if we could have some how used the bat computer to research clues/Intel.Last edited by JBH3; 06-27-2015, 02:26 PM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I've taken a different approach to playing and have found the game much more enjoyable because of it. Instead of choosing which missions to pursue, I just randomly swing around the city. Listening to thugs and paying attention to landscapes (like others have mentioned) will lead you to missions or awesome *** whoopings. It creates a fresh randomness (and you get a break from the Batmobile) . I was able to start 3 side missions doing this.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Thanks, I'll take that approach and hope for the best. Two other issues... Can't find the third fire fighter, he doesn't even show up on my radar and when I go to check out the riddler, I get to the park bench and idk what to do after that. Anymore care to help me out? Just spoiler tag me some advice or direction, greatly appreciate it..."Hate my game, hate my swagger, my hunger. Hate that I'm a veteran, a champion. Hate that, hate it with all your heart...

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I don't know about too many. Most of the main story? Sure. Some riddler trophies yes. One particular most wanted mission with a flying flamethrower character, ok. That's been my encounter....Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I don't really have a problem with the batmobile, sometimes the use of it in missions has been silly but I don't hate it. I upgraded my flying all the way so I mostly just do that unless I need the batmobile.
I'm at 38% I think. Been more interested in the side missions that the main missions so far but I havent really had any encounters with Scarecrow yet. I like the riddler missions alot even though there was one that was just a huge pain in the *** to do (5th key maybe). I hate collecting crap in games so I'm really glad you dont have to in this game to do his missions.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
What I don't understand is why the Riddler race trial would even be available to me if I couldn't "complete" it.
That's a development failure in my book.Comment

SpoilerTwo-Face, Man-Bat and Penguin
I actually like the non hand-holding approach now that I've got a little further in the game. I enjoy having to look for things and search the city, as someone said earlier, it makes you feel like Batman.Comment
