    fossen,

Are you saying that I would have to have my Xbox hooked up to the Web in order to do this? if so, I don't have Xbox live and I would not be able to do it. Can I collect all the songs I want at 'Xbox Music Mixer' to my hard drive in order to burn a CD for transfer to the Xbox?

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Your Xbox would not have to be hooked up to the web - just your home network.

This allows you to transfer music you have on your CPU to your Xbox - with tags intact.

      fossen,

I currently have DSL for my internet service. Are you saying that all I have to do is hook up my ethernet cable into the back of my Xbox, and my songs will download from the site directly to my Xbox?

            No. I'm not.

You have a PC? With songs on it?

Do you have a home network?

Xbox Music Mixer has two components - an PC program that allows you to prepare files for transfer to the Xbox, and an Xbox disc that allows you to import them (and sing karaoke). With both on the same home network, they can "see" each other.

Does your DSL line go straight into the back of your computer? or do you have a router/hub in between?

Well, this might screw things up right from the start. I have a Mac running OS X Jaguar. I did some reading on the site you gave me and it looks like only PC users using Windows XP can use this peripheral.

Once it's a playable audio CD, it's no longer in WMA. It's in CDA ... which the Xbox will read.

However, some Xboxes will only read certain burned discs.

Well, unfortunately for me, this must be the case. My Xbox can only read pre-recorded audio CDs that you buy from the store. I burned my .WAV files to a CD and attempted to load it onto my Xbox hard drive. I got the error message that this was not a game disk and the Xbox cannot read this format. Eject the disk to continue.

Do I have your blessing to begin another post that is a spin-off from this subject? The song I loaded was the popular Monday Night Football theme. Not the one with Hank Williams but the instrumental one. (Da-Da-Da-Daaa, Bud-Ump, Bud-Ump!) Maybe someone out there can direct me to a source to get this song on a real audio cd format that my Xbox can read.
