Once it's a playable audio CD, it's no longer in WMA. It's in CDA ... which the Xbox will read.

However, some Xboxes will only read certain burned discs.

Well, unfortunately for me, this must be the case. My Xbox can only read pre-recorded audio CDs that you buy from the store. I burned my .WAV files to a CD and attempted to load it onto my Xbox hard drive. I got the error message that this was not a game disk and the Xbox cannot read this format. Eject the disk to continue.

Do I have your blessing to begin another post that is a spin-off from this subject? The song I loaded was the popular Monday Night Football theme. Not the one with Hank Williams but the instrumental one. (Da-Da-Da-Daaa, Bud-Ump, Bud-Ump!) Maybe someone out there can direct me to a source to get this song on a real audio cd format that my Xbox can read.

It doesn't matter to format of the song. IF you can put it on a cd then it just depends on what kind of drive you have.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Easy fix for those that can not get XBOX to read burned cd's is to get Music Maker CD.

Actually sky, it's not THAT easy. I read that 'Mixer' will not work with Mac OS X — which is what I have.
