nice deal...i don't need another CRT right now, but i'm thinking about an LCD one of these days...just kinda pricey considering I'd want a decent sized one, my current monitor's doing just fine, no need as of yet

I don't "need" 1 either. My servers/spare systems have a sony 17 inch and I have a 19 inch Viewsonic. However, it would be nice to have 2 monitors hooked up to my work/play system.

I want a LCD too - but one that will do 1600x1200 will cost 700+ bucks
