    PK,

I like these type of thinking games but one thing that I've heard across all boards is that it's too short. That's unfortunate because I love games that aren't about pulling the trigger or perfectly lining up cross hairs.

      Thanks for the reply.

      Can you elaborate on this?

Why is it disappointing? Is it just because the game isn't your style, or was it a more gameplay-specific reason?

      Thanks.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">Well, I thought the idea of not actually shooting and just moving people seemed like a cool concept since it would make you use strategy and think things out before you made your moves as well as provide a game for some people who like shooters but aren't quite as good at actually executing their ideas as well as they can draw them up in their head.

When the developer first loaded the level and was explaining the map I asked him if you could go down the back alley's of the map which he said some you can, and others you can't although usually it's not the best way to go. He then tried to go down an alley to demonstrate after about 4 attempts he couldn't kill 2 guys that were down an alley. Then he decided to carry on with the mission as it was suppose to be carried out. Maybe as levels go along they get more complicated or force you to do more thinking, but as it was he'd take the people from one wall, to the next wall, then advance the team that was behind to the next wall to cover the soldiers. I don't recall him running into more than 4 different people on the entire map to kill, and yet having to constantly move people slowly and make sure you're covering Bravo squad with Alpha squad and so on and so on without running into many people just seems like it'd get old very quickly.

Unfortunately I don't remember very much of the conversation with him anymore, what I do remember is that it seemed like the answers to most of our questions were either no you can't do that, or that's something we're gonna put in the sequal that should come out next year.

It could just be that the developer was terrible at the game and didn't know how to make it look as exciting as it is, but from what I saw I don't see how it would be much more exciting than what he showed us. Hopefully for everyone's sake the game is amazing and we just happened to see a very bad example of the game.

I'm not positive about this, but I am positive that you never pull the trigger to fire guns. This is a real-time military tactics game, not a first-person shooter.

I can't wait to read the threads next week in which everyone whines that "FSW SUX because you can't shoot." I'll be laughing my [censored] off, as this game never has been depicted as a shooter.

                                Take care,
