Havent played battlefield multiplayer in a long time. I guess Im a noob but I had no clue what I was doing. Going to keep at it and try to learn to read the map better and figure out what i need to do and who are my "enemies"

I thought the 3 weapons per class were only because it was a beta. Surely, there has to be more options than that?

Not for nothing, and this was the case prior to Hardlines announcement/beta released: Battlefield on a yearly cycle is not a good thing. For us as Battlefield fans, us as gamers or our wallets.

As if Premium isnt enough gouging....throw in the fact it took 6 months to ger BF4 to run properly. TBH I haven't played in so long I couldn't even tell you if it does in its current state.

Just a shame what profits dictate. And EA will always be king of doing whatever nets them the most cash.

The worst part is we ALWAYS (for the most part) crave thr latest and greatest and next big thing so we always jump. Hence, they have us right where they want us.

I'm sure, there will be. Should've mentioned that. Just like I'm sure there will be some more vehicles than what we see now (police car, motorcycle, heavy jeep, light jeep, attack chopper, transport chopper)

But I am very underwhelmed so far with this beta (disclaimer, I only played a few hours last night). If they are gonna put the Battlefield name on it, make it a battlefield game. But the way it is now, it's gonna be compared to BF4, BF3, BC2, etc and in that regard this game looks to be well below those titles.

If this was just Hardline or SWAT Hardline, I think I'd have a different opinion on it. But it's carrying the Battlefield name, I expect a Battlefield experience and so far I have not had that

Well if it helps hardline will be launching with the latest BF4 update so the network stuff should be fine.

I'm only speculating, but I imagine Hardline to be a sort of hold-over title, because I don't expect BF5 until 2016 at the earliest, perhaps even 2017 (although less likely). DICE must be far too busy with Battlefront to work on both titles, but perhaps their studio is big enough to do both? It seems to me their better option would be to focus on Battlefront and get that game essentially perfect.

I agree with you, and don't forget, Star Wars comes out next year too. Dice should take their time on Battlefield 5, or Bad Company 3, and make it the best possible game that could finally put the nail in the COD coffin.

I was just being general really. Personally I thought every other year worked great, and made premium more palatable. I just think we benefit as a whole when games aren't rushed and our pockets aren't gouged.

I have been playing BF (as I'm sure most of you have) since BF1942, it's safe to say we love the series as we're all still here playing and discussing it. That said, and maybe I'm a little jaded from the CRAP 1st few months BF4, but after buying BF3 and BF4 + Premium for both, I've gone back to playing BF:BC2 and have had way more fun than the 3 & 4.

I'm not complaining, nor throwing a pitty party, I willingly spent my money on the games. Just stating my opinion that we're all better served when games, especially those of Battlefields ilk, aren't rushed or pushed down our throats on a yearly basis. Regardless of who's developing.

I played a couple of the games. To me, it just felt like battlefield without major weaponry such as jets and tanks. Felt like a battlefield/CoD hybrid, which I wouldn't say is good or bad. It didn't feel "new" to me.
