Got around to playing the beta.

Seems arcadish/PS One-ish to me.

No real strategy involved.

Maybe they improve some of the MP facets by launch but it appears that the SP mode may be it's bread and butter.

Maybe it's that I'm just awful at the game, but it seems too fast paced to really get a strategy together, at least in Heist mode.

I definitely went into this with the hope that it would win me over and that I'd want to preorder, after a week and a half of the beta, I don't think I'll be preordering (unless I can talk the roommate into buying it for "us").

All Weapons, Gadgets Unlocked for Battlefield Hardline Beta

You can now try every gun and gadget that the PS4 and PC beta for Visceral's shooter has to offer.

Every weapon and gadget in the Battlefield Hardline beta is now unlocked, publisher Electronic Arts announced today on the Battlefield blog. The Battlefield Hardline beta is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PC, but EA will hold an open beta on all platforms later this year.

EA says being able to try out all of Battlefield Hardline's guns and gadgets--like the Ballistic Shield, Breaching Charge, or Decoy--will let you "fully appreciate the diversity" of the game. Notably, the selection of weapons and gadgets available now in the Battlefield Hardline beta represents just a slice of what the full game will offer when it's released this fall on October 21.

Unlocking all guns and gadgets for players also means EA will get a better understanding of game balance, and can make further changes as a result, the company said. If you have feedback, you're encouraged to leave your comments in the Battlefield Hardline forums.

To use the new weapons and gadgets in the Battlefield Hardline beta, all you need to do is head to the loadout menu and equip the gear you want to try.

On PC, EA has updated Battlefield Hardline's beta to include audio fixes and various netcode improvements. You can see the full list of patch notes at the game's website.

The Battlefield Hardline beta was recently extended by one week, and now comes to a close on Thursday, June 26. You can sign up for a slot in the beta by heading to battlefield.com/beta

It's almost as if they actually read my suggestions on the feedback survey I took.

They needed to do something like this to maintain interest.

Great move, it needs much more polishing up. Gunplay wasn't as clean as BF4, it needs to at least be up to par.

I personally like the delay. Really thinks delays typically result in a better game with few items that need to be patched. Better to buy a working game then but a broken one and have to wait for a patch.

After the debacle (disgrace, whichever you prefer) that was the BF4 launch they pretty much have no choice if they plan on keeping customers.

Sadly, I've already resigned to the fact that I will not be purchasing Hardline. Its a shame too bc Ive held the BF series in the highest regard until recently. Its hard for me to support yearly releases (rehashes with new skins/textures) when they cant even get their current product running right. Coupled with the fact that you have to spend another $50 bucks just to get features and maps to continue playing…only to hear about a new release just a few months later. Just my opinon.

The extra money required to have the full experience is annoying and a huge turn off.

The delay means I might actually pick this up now. With the crowded release schedule this fall I wasn't gonna grab it. Also BF4 on XB1 was a disaster for me and I ended up trading it in. My campaign kept resetting and getting into a game online was a pain. More time to work out the bugs now.
