Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)
I'm in the same boat. I play one match or two, then right to BF 4 for 3 hours. I'm hoping the first dlc content is more open area with heavier equipment. National Guard level stuff.Comment

I think they got stuck in between a believable cops game and a true battlefield game. They wanted the battlefield name but they wanted to add stuff that cops used. Sometimes it's just weird.Comment

Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)
Hey guys, is there any server all the OS guys play on or anything? I'm giving this game a shot, my first FPS in a few years. Hopped online and was just overwhelmed with it all. I wish they would put you in a game with similarly rated players. After getting killed by a guy in the 40's 6 consecutive times, it gets a bit frustrating.
Is there a beginners tutorial or suggestions you all might have (class to start, guns, which game mode, ect...)
Thanks in advance for any insight!Twitch: Goblue81188Comment

It's just gonna feel less frantic for you that way. There are other game modes that are also smaller in scale but the chaos will still be there. CQS is good for adjusting to the pace of this game, just my opinion.Comment

Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)
Hardline is just really hectic in general. No matter where you spawn and how tactical you are you just never know for sure if you have cleared all enemies. There have been countless instances where I cleared an area and I am telling myself "Sweet now all I have to do is watch areas enemies could enter from". Next thing I know I got shot in the back and boom dead!
I have a possible explanation for this. The maps in hardline are much smaller and when you are playing a game mode like conquest large there is just not enough places for 64 people to spawn without literally running into each other, which is why often regardless of clearing an area enemies will spawn there just because of dynamics of all the players moving around in the map so quickly, and the game having very limited options in trying to make the best decision it can to let a player spawn in a certain area without running into an enemy right away. Just yesterday we were capping objective C in Everglades and enemies and friendlies were continuously spawning at the exact same spot and we were literally spawning and shooting each other continuously. I am guessing something like this will get a closer look from the developers of the game.
In comparison, Battlefield maps are much larger. Playing tactically pays off since the population density (determined by number of players in a certain area) is much lower and once you clear a certain area the likelihood of someone spawning there and shooting you in the back is much lower. Considering that the game will try to spawn enemies away from friendlies it will have plenty of choices to spawn enemies far away where they don't run into a friendly right off the bat or vice versa.
This post is getting long. In summary, I think BF4 map sizes are very well suited towards conquest gameplay and hardline map sizes are better for the other game modes like Heist and Hotwire.Gig 'em, Aggies!Comment

Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)
I haven't used the MPX yet, but if it's better than the K10 then I guess I'll have to try it out. I am glad they aren't going to nerf the SA-58 OSW which is probably my favorite gun in the game. Maybe not the best, but my favorite. Also unlocked the Bald Eagle pistol last night. Realized I had to take damage on the shield thing to finish the assignment. Only got to play a few rounds with it though.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Stable as heck like this (use whatever sight you're comfortable with).

Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)
LOL I have a completely different loadout.
I go with Vertical Grip, Muzzle Break, and no accessory. Also use the Kobra RDS sight, but I use that for pretty much everything. Honestly I liked this gun even before I could unlock the attachments once I figured out how to burst fire it properly. I took a little vid last night of this baby, i'll post tonight.PSN: JISTIC_OS
