    Mortal Kombat X

This game is awesome. Had a nice OS king of the hill going last night that I was streaming. Online is smooth as butter as well. Love it.

Anyone have an extra Kold War Scorpion code for ps4? Or can get one? Please!

For you MK vets.. What is the key to defense in this game? Things seem to happen to fast to "read n' react".

Do you focus on the block button? Any way to counter?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Green Arrow was one of my mains in Injustice too. I'm not an expert, but aside from the bow they don't seem that similar so far. I played more ground based with Green Arrow, while with Kung Jin I find myself in the air way more often thanks the the divekick and the flying kick. The staff also gives him more reach than Green Arrow from what I can remember.

This is where I got it from, it was on a poster: (edit yeah the more I read about it the more it doesn't seem legit, my bad)

Kotal Kahn is just an all around weird kind of character.

On the surface he's as bland as it gets and can't do anything great. And it feels like his move-set would have him be an up close in your face style, but he's either not big enough nor quick enough.

Once you know those, you can start trying to figure out which other combos will hit the mid air opponent. That's probably not the best way to do the most damage (low-hit, high impact combos are best for that), but they look flashy at least

Just an example I can do a 10 hit off-the-ground combo involving Liu Kang's Windmill Punch as the finisher (think Bicycle Kick with fists) for 17% damage, but I can instead end the combo at 4 hits with a normal uppercut and do 20%.

Of course, doing that stuff in practice and a real match are two very different things, and I've always had trouble with the latter. This game is no different.
Awesome. I've been discovering this method going through the storymode in MK9 and watching certain opponents land some nasty combos on me.

I'm really enjoying the MKX fightpad. The buttons are very reactive and not stiff. Once I get used to the spacing and the fact that the grapple button is on the controller face and not the shoulder I should be good. The d-pad is very responsive, too. I feel more fluid with combos and input. Whether that is the controller or just in my head I can't say for certain, but its a good controller. Its lightweight and the buttons make an audible click, but in no way do I feel like its been cheaply made.

The issue with the jump forward on Neutral Jump inputs has me the most worried.

Also - playing against the CPU on hard in a single fight is a good way to scout combos that the CPU does. Then remember the moves, tag them in the moves list menu and practice practice practice.

Maybe its my play style, but I haven't had any problems jumping with the controller.

Me neither. I think the controller is fine for play. The no mic port is just annoying though.
