Big MK fan, even had an MK II cabinet in my basement at my old house. I will be double dipping on this game on PS4 and Xbox one. I'm not very good at fighters as much as I like them so feel free to add me if you want to play and beef up your record.

Just curious, what did you do with that MK II cabinet? I know they're rare these days. When I was younger, I always wanted an MK II cabinet, good memories of the arcade days

Man some cool online modes announced in todays stream.

In king of the hill while your not fighting you can go into the training room and practice. Also theres AFK mode so if you have something to do or just want to watch you can turn it on and it will skip you or if your streaming you can turn AFK mode and keep stream up.

Theres Team Battles (5v5 or 3v3) that you can do where you and a group of friends can get into a group together and fight against other groups in 1v1 format. This can be in Private Matches and Matchmaking.

MK X Mobile is out now on the Apple Store (iTunes) and coming soon for Google Play Store.

I think an MK II cab shouldn't be too hard to find these days, check ebay and craiglist.

Last I saw of mine it went to an arcade/pool hall/pinball place in NJ called "8 on the Break". I still have the "aggressor" rom for MK II which adds some things like a red shadow kick from Cage, etc.

Yea the no mic port is a major bust, but the controller plays good enough. It feels so small though...not liking the no mic port though, don't want to talk through kinect.

Thanks guys, I decided to go ahead and play through it on Vita. I like the way the story's presented, much clearer than the bits and pieces you had to put together from each character's endings. And yeah, I've seen that some stuff is definitely different already.

So...what happens with this new one? Are they going to continue the retellings or will it have an entirely new plot? Either way it'll be new to me, as UMK3 was basically the last MK I really paid any attention to.

The story in MKX apparently picks up 25 years after MK9 ends.

I know nothing more than that because I've gone out of my way to avoid spoilers.

The story starts about 2 years after MK9, and then I'm assuming it time jumps 25 years. There is an MKX comic that I believe fills in some of the gaps that I'm thinking about buying.

I think Target also has a deal that allows you get the Kombat Pass for $9.99 during launch week when you buy the game.

Have you tried using a 2nd controller to chat and Fightpad to play? Like I said earlier if that doesn't work I'll send it back.
