So Ravenous Mileena is my main until Predator drops. She's who I started with and who I come back to. I like SubZero a lot but he's a slow character meaning you've got to sit back be patient and methodically strike. Mileena is just balls to the wall offense, speed, and ferocity plus her #2 fatality is my favorite of them all.

I just play unranked, but mortal Kombat def needs a better matching system. It's good to face a guy where you only have a 5% chance of winning every now and then, but there is no way you kan develop as a player against these guys.

Every time I try a level 40+ my only goal is to not give up a flawless victory lol.

Yeah, last night I played 10 rounds and only played players with less than 100 wins twice.

Even then I don't really mind, but I cannot even get a combo started. I'm lucky if I can get some single hits in, but I guess I'm just too slow for online. I'm perfectly capable on Hard so I guess I'll just stick to the towers and single player challenges.

I will go watch some combos on YouTube then I practice them in practice mode

Some of the advance combos are crazy hard and I can't imagine using them against a moving target that fights back

I guess they should be hard to do though lol

Some of the advanced combos are basically just for "swag' points. The damage on them really isnt worth the difficulty most of the time.

If I were you I find the character your looking for and find their BnB combo's. BnB stands for Bread and Butter combos and they should be the first thing you learn for each character. My suggestion is to try to find a High and Low BnB and learn them first.

1: X (Xbox); Square (PS)
2: Y (Xbox); Triangle (PS)
3: A (Xbox); X (PS)
4: B (Xbox); O (PS)
Throw: X+A or LB (Xbox); Square+X or L1 (PS)
f: Forward
b: Back

For example with Dvorah I have a low and high combo I know by heart. The first I learned was a high and low breaker. 212 breaks low block while the vortex swarm breaks high block: 212, db1(Vortex Swarm), f34,1+3(Throw) Easy 25% or so. What I did was went into practice and just did the 212 into Vortex Swarm until I got it consistently then I added the f34,throw and kept it up until I could pull it off almost every time. Its all about learning simple ones then adding onto them as you get better.

The next thing I did was learn simple block breakers. If someone is high blocking a lot then I got f42 that allows me to hit low and just harass my opponent until the respect my low option. Also Vortex Swarm hits low as well as b4 and the low pokes.

Also keep in mind that almost every combo can start with a jump in Punch that hits High and breaks through low block.

Unless I screwed up my controls (good chance of it) but throw is L1 and stage interact is R1. Maybe Xbox is backwards?
