    Arcade Sticks don't matter. Last year's SFIV Evo champ won playing on an old PSone Pad.

      I'm wondering if I'd be better off with an arcade stick. I'm trying to main Kung Lao and I'm having issue in match vs. Training in executing combos. In training I can hit the ex spin without any issue , and in a hard match against cpu I miss it more times than not.

      And the only way I can hit the 11212 combo consistently is if I use my bird and index fingers. It's very hard for me to execute with my thumb so that combo really got me thinking about a stick. The only thing I worry though is most button layouts are 3-4 wide so it worries me having to block with my pinky or do people move their whole hand around the buttons?

      Also seems running would be a little more difficult however I cant execute running links on pad now so that's a wash .

        Fighting games are admittedly not my forte but I decided to pick this up for nostalgia reasons and have such a hard time executing any moves with the damn DS4.

          It's all preference. Mortal Kombat's block button and heavy reliance on it for meter burning specials makes it hard for me to play it on a stick. Injustice on the other hand was much easier as a stick game for me.

          I think I've seen people move their arcade stick layout to

          BLK FP BP
          BLK FK BK

          This lets them rest their thumb on block while still having access to the shortcuts for throw, stage interactions, and stance switch.

            Patch Notes


            General Gameplay fixes
            Many movelist frame data corrections.
            Corrected many normal attacks that were intended to be 0 or negative on block were being overridden to be +2
            Hitting Front Punch + Back Punch + Front Kick at the same time at the special cancel window will no longer cause an enhanced move to come out
            Removed the ability to mash normal attacks while continuing to block after blocking an attack
            You can no longer cancel into an enhanced interaction during the first 10 frames of some block stuns.
            Versus Session Stats are now correctly award as wins/losses when you pause and exit to player select or restart match (Versus Session Stats can be turned on in Main Menu > Options > Game Play)
            Fixed several characters being able to attack on the first frame of a jump.
            Added unlock counter for Krypt.
            Fixed an issue that was preventing some players from joining an in-progress Ladder, KOTH, or Team Battle match from a chat lobby.
            Ping meter accuracy improvements.
            You can now choose to not play a Ranked Match if the connection is below the set threshold.
            Matchmaking improvements when finding a Ranked or Player Match.
            Player Skill Rating algorithm improved.
            Fixed crash occurring when receiving online VS. Challenge while editing Kombat Kard.
            Fixed a crash that sometimes happened when skipping the last fight in the Klassic Tower.
            Fixed an issue causing some offline replays to report “playback does not agree”.
            Added the ability to go full screen in the KOTH viewer by PS4 players who use devices that do not have a touchpad button

                    Am i the only one not really bothered by the spider caverns in the krypt?

                    Also, so far the matchmaking seems much better. All of my matches online so far have been against guys around my level who don't have a ton of games in online(compared to earlier when i was fighting guys who had 500 wins and like 10 losses). Better connections too.

                        The jump scares in the krypt don't bother me at all as long as I have the sound turned all the way down.. Then I just walk all nonchalantly without a care in the world.. But if the sound is turned up, forget about it.. I jump like crazy on the jump scares then..

                              Matchmaking improved?! Great! I wish they could reset my record haha. My record is like 8-31 and I promise you at least 30 of those losses were against guys I shouldn't have been playing. My 8 wins were against guys "on my level", one win coming today. I thought I got better but I guess matchmaking helped me.
