The Cleric Beast is no more! I know some of you guys are a lot further a long than me, but it took me some work to get to this point lol. Victory!

Took me awhile also to beat the cleric beast but now that I did I'm rolling. The real key to this game is to explore and unlock those shortcuts. Also patience is key and make sure you try to account for all enemies before you enter an area.

He's not even really the first boss. The Cleric Beast should probably be beaten first, as killing Papa G opens up a higher level area.

And yeah, Papa G is no joke. Took me a few tries and some luck, but oil and molotovs after he turns will melt his health right down.

I get him almost completely down then he just transforms into mr jump high and dash to you spam.

His 1 hander isnt that hard, his 2 hander I just used my own 2 hander, the 3rd...o_O.

Also theres another boss? Only things I have fought are some giant pig/rat thing, the giant dude with the axe that is at the bottom of the road.

EDIT: Yeah its Papa G and not the Cleric Beast. Lol

There is a certain game mechanic that has just been uncovered and don't know if it's been said yet but here we go.

I don't know if this was the case for you but once you have 15 and above insight the enemies get twice as hard. The game get harder every insight you go up past 15 so you need to use them.

Wow. LOL. I have 37 currently. And a dozen madman knowledge. This is the reward I get for helping people. SMH.

More insight = you go more insane and make everything harder. You also take more frenzy damage. Miyazaki is a mad man.

If it Gi e you more Blood echoes then I would mind helping people out more. You could always spend them on items, or other stuff the messenger said to get under 15.

This game has really messed with my head today. As soon as I think I've got a part figured out I slip up and get killed. I've never played anything like this before and I'm determined to not go to sleep tonight until I make it to the first Boss.

Also I refuse to play this with my headset on. Too many times something creeps up on me and scares the shTT out of me.

Ok stupid question time. When you see a bunch of guys grouped together what's the best way to handle them? How do you get them separated? I guess I could run by some of them, but what about the quicker guys?

You can pull them one at a time by throwing a pebble or throwing knife.

But if you don't want to fight and just run past them, you can do that. Just get your Carl Lewis on by holding down circle when you are moving. The enemies will "leash" back to where they were once you are far enough past. But check your 6 a couple times just in case.

Beat the father guy and then beat the cleric beast, in that order. Probably was a mistake considering cleric beast isn't nearly as hard, but i managed! And people said this game would be hard to pick up if you've never played this series, yeah right! Only took me like 30 something deaths lol.

Progress being made. Upping Arcane increases Discovery. Youll need it as you get deeper into the game, items get scarse. Im pushing everything to 20, then 30 stat wise outside of Bloodtinge. Its costing me like 18k echos to level up, with that hitting an extra 1k per level. Got a few spots where enemies are giving me 2500+ echo p/k.


Also make sure you defeat those crawling 3headed things before they disappear. They tend to drop your rarer upgrade parts.

Holy hell. I am so lost in this forbidden woods place. I felt like I was really far because I was crawling through the level for an eternity, but I didn't have any idea where I was going. Then ran into this medusa looking thing that one-shot me. I'm trying so hard not to use a guide but may have to. May need to level up more soon too (33).

those damn creatures with a giant brain are damn annoying. They just look at you and your frenzy bar starts going up quickly. I barely have any time to use a sedative before it fills up completely. The two bosses in this area are pretty easy though, got them both on my first attempt.

Some of the items that require arcane don't seem to be that great. I only use a couple of them, but most of them seem to be disappointing especially for the bullets it requires.
