Just started last night, went to bed without much progress. Work up this morning and clobbered through the beginning and smashing the Cleric Beast on my first try. Logging off feeling like a million bucks because I have a feeling what is upcoming isn't going to be pretty.

About the only thing I've been successful with so far is creating my character. Everything since that point has been pain lol. I'm very early in the game right now. After dying a ton of times, I finally got to the part where I was hoping there would be a lamp and there was nothing. It was either go right towards some wolves or venture the other way into the sewers. I chose the sewers because I figured it would be easier and ended up getting killed anyway. Turned the game off at that point. Will try again later on today. I'm making progress, though.

My advice is to run past everything until you get to the boss fight. Even if you lose, at least you can start leveling up at the first lamp at the top of the ladder once you get to the boss. Otherwise right now you are wasting your time losing all of your blood echoes. Hang in there, it gets great.

Damn, this game is pretty hard. Just got it, wanted to see what the fuss was about. And i never played demons souls but i always enjoyed tough games, i started out getting extremely pissed, but now that i've started getting used to things and opening gates and shortcuts, it's getting a bit better. Definitely has me interested, i've died countless times, but i keep coming back.

Whois the first Boss fight? I still don't know which way or where I'm supposed to be going?? Grant it I've not had time to just sit down with plenty of time to spend due to work this week but I'm off for a few days now and want to really dig in today.

Would you recommend me just starting from the start? I'm at the part on a Main Street where some dog is by a crowd and above him some goon is shooting down on me

On another note don't attempt to pause to attend to anything during a fight. You'll be deader than disco.

Took the Father down on the 3rd try. Small tip, oil and molotovs do wonders on him during his last form.

This game has it's claws set DEEP in me. Don't be afraid to farm for echoes and level up before trying to take down a boss again. I got myself to 24 before killing the Father.

Question about this game because i'm not sure how the progress and saving checkpoints work in this game. If i fortify my weapons and level up, when i die do i lose that and have to level up more or refortify my weapons? Also, didn't realize you need to repair your weapons occasionally, started doing waay less damage randomly until i saw where you could repair your weapon.

This game is so damn fun and so damn gorgeous LOL. My roommate got the **** scared out of him while playing all I kept hearing him scream is "Ohhh **** naw I got too many Echoes to die here" LOL.

Does a charged R2 attack always stagger an enemy? I use r1 mostly I think I'm playing the game wrong
