Yeah, I managed to down the Cleric Beast first try on NG+, but I'll be dammed if it didn't take all of my blood vials to finish him off.

I've taken a short break to jump into DS2 on PS4, as I haven't enjoyed the chalice dungeons nearly as much as I'd hoped. Do they get better as you go? I'm only through like 3 or 4 layers of the first Pthumeranu (sp?) dungeon, but it has been fairly bland so far compared to the incredible locations in the main game.

Yeah i actually beat cleric beast first try on my first run in this game, didn't even need that many blood vials, but now i'm struggling on him. I think i'm getting too reckless, gotta remember the bosses are a lot stronger.

I've only done a few dungeons and i feel the same way, they're ok, but not that interesting. I did a few pthumeranu dungeons, they only go 5 layers. Some bosses are interesting, there's actually one boss i'm stuck on in a chalice dungeon. The thing is, i think there's a weapon you can get from only the chalice dungeons, and i know there is also a secret boss in one of the later dungeons that gives you a trophy.

I actually started playing some demon souls because my friend heard that i was enjoying bloodborne so he recommended i play demons souls and let me borrow his copy. It's pretty fun, not a huge fan of the medevil theme(liked the lovecraft type horror in bloodborne a lot more), but it seems solid.

I'd say it would be Nightmare Frontier, Cainhurst Castle, Upper Cathedral Ward, then Nightmare of Mensis or swap the last 2. I do think Frontier and Castle are to be done before those two.

OK yeah, Nightmare Frontier was fairly easy, boss included. I'm getting smoked by those monsters right at the beginning of Cainhurst though. Their reach is unreal. That's next easiest you think?

Yeah I think that should be next, but you could always try the others and see what works for you.

Is there an area that's story related that should be last? I'm gathering that some of these places are optional based on the random chance I found that Cainhurst Summons thing, which I never would have found if I didn't scour every inch of most levels. Dont want the end game to sneak up on me and force me to skip something.

nightmare of mensis unlocks the final boss fight, but you can still clear that area and the boss without fighting the last encounter just yet as it is in a different area all together. The castle is optional and so is upper cathedral.

Screw those things man. Just run by them into the Castle. I completely ignored them. You only run into them outside anyways.

Just prepare yourself for a really tough boss fight.

Ha, exactly what I did just before I saw your post. Inside the castle is nowhere near as hard. Made it to the shortcut.

Edit: Simply finding this boss was confusing as hell. Aaand he's down. Intense fight, not too hard. Really enjoyed that area.

How come whenever I use my resonant bell, I get summoned in a minute or two no matter where I am. But, when I try to summon someone it almost always takes 10+ minutes. I seriously waited outside the Rom door for a half hour waiting before I finally got someone. F that boss.

I tested in multiple areas tonight for my resonant bell. Currently level 52. Got summoned within 2 minutes of ringing at least 2+ times at

Logarius, Amygdala, Paarl, Rom, Shadow of Yharnam, Witches, and even Blood starved beast.

Best result I had with beckoning bell was when I was around level 40 on Paarl which was about 5 minutes of waiting. Although admittedly I've only tried to beckon on Rom, Paarl, Shadow of Yharnam and Vicar Amelia so far.

Triple post FTW!

Anyone able to help me on Ebrietas? Been 25 minutes and can't find any help. I'm lebel 56, so you'd have to be between 41-71. I just need someone to help distract, because if it's just me I'll eventually get one shotted or killed while I'm healing. Boss hits hard.

Everyone's probably moved on from the game already, but worth a shot.

^That was one of my favorite bosses in the whole game,i loved the music, the design(really lovecraftian otherworldly looking.) You should probably level up a little, maybe get in the mid 60s. I found that it's easy to run up on it and get some quick hits in, and dart out, don't get to greedy. But when it does an attack where it slams it's head down, that's your opportunity! Hit it with a fully charged r2 attack in the head(it's weak point i think) while it's on the ground and you'll do more damage and stagger it. Also for it's projectiles, keep in mind getting hit by the blood will put you in frenzy, and when you see it glowing bluish and forming light above it, that's when you need to be careful, it's gonna fire off about 3 waves of projectiles, but if you keep dodging left you'll be fine, just don't stay still.

Yeah I know all it's moves. It's like Rom, where it has multiple moves that one-shot me, which makes it super hard.

I uploaded a video yesterday where I was running in to the fight. I was planning to stop and sneak up on it, but it turns around, brings his hand down, miss timed the dodge and died less than 10 seconds in. It was funny, but when it happens after I've got him down to 25% and he lasers me it is not.

I'm fairly good at these games, I just tend to make mistakes during long fights eventually, so when a boss can one hit kill me with not one, not two, but three of its moves it is extremely frustrating.

Just took down Rom in the lower pthumeru chalice. He was way easier than the fight in the regular game once I realized his ice missiles couldn't make it through the pillars. Just picked off his little spider buddies then chipped away at him slowly.
