Vicar Amelia down on first try. Heading into woods on the left of the temple when exiting. Some guys with electric or lightening in their weapons wiped me out.

Not sure if route I should go. Can't seem to find Yarh'gul Unseen Village or Hemwick Charnel Lane.

Damn, son. Screw this, tomorrow I'm having a Bloodborne session. I will progress in this game by any means necessary.

I made it to the Blood-Starved beast, but I'm not putting much of a dent in him so far. The best I've done is about half of his health gone. He keeps getting out of range and when I do pin him down I usually take damage too. I'll get his ***.

Father G is a pain! I have come close to taking him down.

Father G down decided to us the bell and get some help and we beat him.

If you have any blood cocktails, throw them against a wall and he'll go after it, then just attack him from behind.

Also, another tactic, circle him towards your left, i found that she's most dangerous at mid range, so get in close or get out.

Made it to the woods last night. I get a little past the lantern and get destroyed. I think I lost a total of 70k in Blood Echos. For some reason, those dogs seem to have more of a bite to them. One attack leaves me around the middle of the health, which leads me to this -

Does Insight make the game tougher or not? I swear some enemies are taking a lot more damage than they did earlier in the game I.E. the dogs and birds. I am sitting at 17 Insight right now and have no problem getting rid of some if need be. I have a ton of Madman's Knowledge, so...

So I'm extremely late to the party, but I just fired this one up for the first time. Never played anything close to souls, but felt the need to get the first legit ps4 exclusive.

It took me about 4-5 deaths to figure out that I couldn't punch the wolf to death in the hospital. I'm a huge noob.

Probably spent about 5 hours trying to beat the first map. I die almost every time to the 2 black Wolves. Whenever I throw a rock at one, the other seems to join 10 seconds later, completely overwhelming me. Any advice on this part?

I don't really get frustrated when I die which is strange. Probably because it's always my fault. I'm starting to see why these games are so popular.

Probably spent about 5 hours trying to beat the first map. I die almost every time to the 2 black Wolves. Whenever I throw a rock at one, the other seems to join 10 seconds later, completely overwhelming me. Any advice on this part?

If you are talking about the wolves I think you are talking about, you can run down the steps into a house, they can't fit in there and you can just hit them from inside the house. They can still reach you with some attacks, but it should be pretty simple.

Finally got past the Blood-Starved Beast. When he got into his final form, I just started blasting him with molotovs. I spent way too much time on that boss. Now I just have to figure out where I need to go next.

I feel like I've cleared out everything in that area. I bought the Grand Cathedral key, went back to Cathedral Ward and the gate opened. Did I miss anything or am I on the right track?

last night, fairy easy once I figured out what needed to be done. I then ventured into the forrest, racking up blood d echos. I thought about quitting for the night, but I kept saying let me go a little farther, I am sure there is a latern somewhere around here. Then I walked into the an area and it triggered the boss fight with

. I didn't even try to fight the boss. I was just trying to run around and use Hunters Mark? to awaken new with all my blood echos. I thought I had enough distance to drink the potion, but they killed me during the animation, 82K in blood echos gone. I am going to go back next time I play and try to recover them all.

Looking at your posts, it seems like you are on the right track, although when you defeated

Blood Starved Beast in Old Yharnman, there should have been a way to open that gate without buying the key for 10k

Maybe someone else can chime in here?
