Re: Rainbow Six Siege
For those afraid of multiplayer not being like the controlled demo..
Easy fix - 10 OS members (or more of course, but 10 minimum) get together as much as we can and play with mics, etc. This solves the issue..
Honestly though, a game like this, teamwork is a must otherwise the game is over if the other team works together, not call of duty where someone can win 1 v 10.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Looks good, my only question is can they actually get it out the door, and how long will it take. We saw with Patriots they couldn't deliver a product.
Also, I implore whoever scripts these videos to stop with the bad acting. No one has ever talked like this online in the history of the universe.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Couple things I noticed. What do you think the dotted walls mean compared to the solid walls? I was thinking destructible but after watching the video that can't be it.
Also noticed this is played on PC judging by on screen keys and health did not regenerate once he took a bullet.
Health does not regenerate, but armor does. They are still debating whether or not to keep the latter.
You can be grazed by a bullet and then revived, but if it hits you where it would kill you in real life, you're dead.
Reason that people were still able to talk to fallen teammates is because the teammates can control the drones afterwards. I feel like if they get enough push back here, that might not make the cut.
And not everything will have to do with a hostage situation in multiplayer.
All details coming from IGN who was the only site so far to go that in depth:
While the demo mission involves a young girl being held hostage in a house, the developers say they’re building lots of variety into the other missions. Though they weren’t willing to offer any specific examples, they seemed to suggest that previous Rainbow Six levels might serve as a good guide for the scope of missions. Whether we’re deactivating bombs in a hydroelectric plant, stealing plans from a high-rise office, or rescuing scientists on a space shuttle launch platform, it’s clear that the team has more in mind that just residential hostage rescue missions.

Other articles say the game has been in development for 18 months, which means that when they announced Patriots was coming to next-gen, that was a lie and it was already dead. Basically they killed off Patriots because they wanted to be on next-gen and didn't want to port.
Also, wasn't mentioned by anyone in here I don't think, but the teams in the demo were Raven (Shield) and Rogue (Spear).Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Um.. what game were you playing? Rainbow six has always been first person shooter, it did (or does) offer a way to view your character (third person, but designed with fps in mind), but as far as I can go back, its always been a FPS first...Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Lol I was wondering. You can actually play in third person in some (I think using hacks/cheat codes, cant remember), but there are youtube videos that show 3rd person lol (I youtubed just to make sure I was right! haha)Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Can't wait to see more multiplayer. Did they say 2015? If so, hopefully it releases in the "off months" so we can put heavy time into it.
