I never experience rubber banding, every now and then the hit detection is a little off but its far from a bad experience. Its a awesome game and I play the crap out of it.....nearing level 50 now.

      Re: Rainbow Six Siege

You're lucky Phobia, or maybe I am just unlucky. It seems like 1 of every 3 matches my group gets into results in a rubber band fest. We usually are between 50-70 ping each and so is the other team/strangers.

I enjoy the heck out of this game when it works, but I have never had so much bad luck with a game in my life. Especially on two separate platforms.

Rubberbanding is rare for me, usually only happens in the prep phase in my drone. Other than that its been smooth for the most part.

Hit detection on the other hand, still seems to vary wildly. There's some games where it is on point and others where everyone seems to wonder how many bullets is it going to take. Needs quite a bit of work on the netcode side of things still.

          Re: Rainbow Six Siege

Experienced zero rubberbanding tonight, but the hit detection is still so bad. I can't think of a single shooter I have played in the last 5 years that had hit detection this bad. I want to keep playing the game, but it's frustrating nearly every time just because I can see how bad the netcode/hit detection is. Going from CSGO or Red Orchestra, or any other shooter I play to R6 is embarrassing for Ubi because it is so clear how far behind it is.

To avoid double posting I'll just edit this. Just played 3 more matches. Zero rubberbanding and everyone had 65 ping or less, but the netcode/hit detection is just too bad to even play. This game isn't finished and I keep trying to play it hoping a miracle update happens randomly. The game is fun, just not polished. If the netcode/hit detection weren't so bad I'd never stop playing this game. As it stands now I can play 3 or 4 games before I just have to quit out of frustration. I play other shooters and it's just too obvious how poor the system in this game is. It's a shame that Ubi did such a terrible job because this game has plenty of potential. It's nearly unplayable to me though. If I wasn't playing other shooters that were night and day compared to his with their hit detection, maybe I wouldn't notice it as much and get so frustrated.

Yeah the hit detection is pretty bad. My crosshair is not even on the guy & it show's I'm getting hit markers. It just feels like it's not synched up proper & what's happening on my screen is different from my enemies. Ubisoft better clean up their netcode or there game will lose people who've had enough. I personally love the game but my frustration is mounting the longer it goes on.

I don't seem to have issues with hit detection. Nothing I've noticed at least.

I usually don't have any issues with Netcode. What's your ping usually in games?

Mine sits right around 70-80 and I usually have no issues with lag or anything on PS4.

I have more issues with sitting in matchmaking for 10 minutes than I do with anything when I actually play the game.

Mine in R6S is usually below 70 in the mid 60's but does go a bit higher at times. As for matchmaking I don't really have any issues sitting for long periods. Regardless I'm still enjoy the game as it's the game I'm playing most at the moment.

No doubt it looked horrible, I just wonder if the two views just weren't syncing up in this case. I've never seen the hit detection be that poor. Usually a little off but nothing that drastic.

I only say this because you weren't dodging him in any way just moving sideways. I can't see someone be that poor at shooting. And in the killcam, if you watch carefully, he's shooting in the same spot for the most part. There are no drastic movements to correct being off target. So I wonder if, during gameplay, you were in fact where he was aiming and this is just an example of a poor killcam, not poor hit detection.

It's awful netcode and hit detection. Both are garbage despite the latest update and this video shows how it is 95% of the time for me on both ends.

I'm not saying the game is terrible, but it lacks a severe amount of polish. If it was just average in those two areas it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's so far behind the average online shooter that it can't be ignored.

This game makes Red Orchestra look like it is the smoothest game out there and anyone who plays that regularly knows there is just a slight delay in that game that you have to adjust to. When I go from playing this game to CSGO it's unreal. It's so much smoother and makes CSGO feel like you're just playing couch co-op with zero latency issues, no hit detection issues, etc. and it almost makes the game feel 10x easier because of how much smoother it is.

I want to keep playing this game and I do. Probably played 4 games just now, maybe 5, and it was alright, but it still just leaves me frustrated more than anything after each match. This game has a lot of potential and I want to see it get these kinks worked out, but as it stands right now this is not the type of shooter that I will hop on if no buddies are around. Not because of the tactical side of it, but because of the technical side of it. I don't mind playing it with my group because playing together with them makes it more enjoyable. If I'm solo, you'd have to pay me to get on this game. It's not worth it. Any other online game I have, solo or not, I'll jump on it. This game takes 2-3 friends to get me on it and that's a shame because I do love what it's going for, Ubiosoft just dropped the ball and it's still falling to this day.

Happens to me as well you don't even see anyone in the open space of the door when you die so how are you supposed to kill what you don't see. I think the game is just not synched up proper at all. It's terrible for sure. Ubisoft better fix this asap or people will leave from the frustration.
