Same here bro. Between this and Horizon Zero Dawn, I have no idea how I'll finish both of these games with The Show coming out. My backlog continues to grow and the days get shorter and shorter.

I don't consider myself a zelda fan, played a few throughout the series, never finished one, but this game is amazing. The sheer space and scope is massive. Most enjoyment I've had yet from a Zelda game.

My biggest issue right now, if I can even call it that, is trying to balance this with Horizon, and then with Nier coming on Tuesday.

I hear ya. Ghost Recon on Tuesday. Mass Effect at the end of the month. These early months are chocked full of great titles.

But looked very interesting as the interface is very metal gear solid 2 3ish and the world looks interesting along with the 2d scrolling platforming as well.

Mass effect is going to be boring unless they completely surprise us as well as nintendo did?

But were talking 4 years fo dev with a team of 300 nintendo went retro studios on us with BoTW honestly

I almost bought Nier when I was in the Philippines because it came out Feb 23 there, but only on PS4. If it was out for PC then I would have bought it and played through it before getting deep into Zelda.

They do a much better job than you think of making you care about her in the first few scenes. I highly suggest picking the game up when it goes on sale, even if you think you are disinterested at first. I don't think anyone can dislike the game once they start playing.

I read a review where the writer stated he put in 50 hours with the game and could put in another 50>100 hours due to all the side missions and stories.
Is this true?
And do your decisions change the scope of the world, or unlock other side-missions?

I wonder if the Wii U version will be similar in depth.

Absolutely. I'm ~20-30 hours in and haven't even scratched the surface.

And do your decisions change the scope of the world, or unlock other side-missions?

Not that I've seen at all yet, and honestly I don't know if there is a progression to side missions or if they are all just there for you to find early.

Just now I watched a video on IGN showing the difference between the two versions and they look identical.

Man it's been a long time since I've played a game that gave me that feeling of "just go see what's over there" type of feeling...the organic nature of discovering things and the following encounters are blowing me away.

It's also just how huge the map is. They tell you right from the start to head to a point on the map. It's close by, but it took me FOREVER to get there, because I spent so much time exploring everything that was around me. It's going to take me a LONG time to beat this game, but I don't care, because I am loving every second of it.

And I think what is most brilliant, and also astounding that Nintendo pulled it off, is that there is no empty space. What I mean by that is nothing is wasted. Everywhere you go there is some enemy to fight, some puzzle to solve. And the map is so staggeringly big that you would expect there to be empty space.

As you can see, I kind of like this game. Just a little.
