Which Console Started........
......the "one controller, no game included" trend(I'd bet it was Sony-damn Sony with all their add-ons, but I'm not sure)? I can understand the game part of it, but c'mon, give me a second damn controller.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Hmmmmm, I remember buying a genesis(close to launch), and I thought it had two. The only time I remember buying add-ons for that console were two six-button controllers(almost useless), and a 32X(shudder).I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. I think the PS1 started the no game trend, because at that point Sony didn't have a clearcut Sonic or Mario game they'd want to bundle with the system. At least that's my guess as to why they did it. I also think they only had 1 controller, to make money, as well.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Which Console Started........
Yea, I believe the PS1 just came with one controller and a weak demo disc. You had to buy the tv coaxial cable($25), another controller($25) and a memeory card($25) plus a game($40) before the real fun kicked in.
Sony started the bogus trend of extensions and other various requirments for the PS1. You'd have to buy a Multitap($40), another memeory card($25) and hopefully your friends had they're own controllers or else you'd have to supply them also.
They've continued the trend with the PS2:
PS2 opening cost ($300)
extra controller ($25)
Multitap ($40) -already included on XBOX
2 memory cards ($50)--Not needed for XBOX
optic cable ($25)
network adapter ($40)--already included with XBOX
hard drive ($50-100)--already included with XBOX
USB keyboard ($20-40)
headset ($10-40)
dvd remote kit(optional) ($30)
What a crying shame.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
