Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?

Hopefully will stick to my plan of:
Dragon Age on Nov 18th (Along with Digital of LBP)

Then zip until I'm done with Dragon Age.

I kept going back and forth between DA and Farcry and have decided to go with DA first.

When I moved to the next I should be able to grab a used copy etc..

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?

I picked up a PS4 for Madden and FIFA. FIFA has completly dominated my gaming time since release day.

My PS3 backlog is still huge, and with PS Plus I get something worth playing every other month still. I am determined to hold the line on any non-sports titles for a while. With FIFA keeping me busy, Madden in the wings and NBA2k14 still not even installed from when it was free on PSPlus, I should be set for a while.

That said, I will probably buy The Golf Club at some point, and if Shadows of Mordor is cheaply available on Black Friday I can see me getting that. I will NOT fall for the annual installment of COD or Assassins Creed this year though.

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?

After picking up Shadow of Mordor, rest of this year is looking like:

                    Bayonetta 2
                    Binding of Isaac Rebirth
                    Halo: Master Chief Collection
                    Super Smash Bros WiiU
                    Massive Chalice

Alien: Isolation, Civ Beyond Earth, and Far Cry 4 will likely be games I'll get on a Steam sale at some point, unless Far Cry 4 gets stellar reviews.

                        *UPDATED AGAIN*

                        OCTOBER
After 55 hours, I finished Mordor 100% this past Tuesday and traded it in earlier today to Best Buy for $44 and now, im simply waiting for this coming Tuesday, October 14th for The Evil Within on October 14th. The Evil Within is my third most wanted game for the rest of 2014 and I can't wait to play the game as im expecting it to be just as good as Resident Evil 4 but with more emphasis on the survival/psychological horror aspects than shooting and action. Lords of the Fallen on October 28th is one of two games that are on my "50/50 wait and see" list.

                        NOVEMBER
For me, it's all about my top two games. First being Assassin's Creed Rogue (Xbox 360) and second being what will be the best damn first person shooter this year, Far Cry 4. Taking all the stuff I loved about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Far Cry 3, adding more and a new setting and environment puts Rogue and Far Cry 4 as the number one and number two game on my most wanted list for 2014. I'm already expecting one of the two to be my 2014 game of the year and if history repeats, Ubisoft will give me my game of the year for the fifth straight year. With the two week delay, Assassin's Creed: Unity is now cramped into November. Unity is the fourth most wanted game on my list but I must admit that 2.5D downloadable game that comes with the season pass is extremely tempting. Finally, with the recent six week delay, Dragon Age III: Inquisition on November 18th is the second game on my "50/50 wait and see" list.

                        DECEMBER
With the recent announcement of the PSN game, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris being released on December 9th, I now have at least one game that im buying for this month. Overall, between September 30th and December 9th, I will have at least seven games in a ten week span so the remaining games that I need to finish for PlayStation 4 will be played as having a backlog going into February 2015 and the year itself isn't a good idea whatsoever.

Within the next three months, I also hope to eventually finish Child of Light. If all I have in my backlog going into 2015 is Mercenary Kings I'll be a happy camper.

Hyrule Warriors, Diablo 3 (one) NHL 14 (eashl on 360), smash bros, mario kart 8, sunset od, Gta V (One), borderlands presequel (360). Should take up most of my time for the rest of the year. Maybe even longer than that.

I'm hoping for a Black Friday PS4 bundle and will pick up shadow of mordor and fifa 15. I haven't played a soccer game in 10 years or so but I need something new with no more college football games on the horizon.

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?

I'm just getting back into sports games, so I'll probably spend a lot of it trying to figure out what I like. Last thing I played was The Show 13, which absolutely astonished me - it's the first baseball game I've played since the original World Series Baseball on the Genesis, and while I expected things to have come a long way, I still was unprepared for the level of polish there. Still not sure it's for me, so I'll probably be investigating other titles (MVP, The Bigs, etc.)

I'm also going to be looking into volleyball stuff and am feeling like I might want to go through NBA Street Vol 2 again - one of my all time favorites.

And playing Super Mario 3D World with my son, which is always a good time.
