Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
*UPDATED AGAIN*
CURRENTLY PLAYING
After finishing The Last Of Us Remastered, I purchased Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition but after seeing the two gameplay videos for Assassin's Creed Rogue, I traded in Tomb Raider and purchased $90 worth of Xbox 360 Live cards. With that $90, I purchased two digital titles, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag along with the season pass and Far Cry 3 along with the deluxe bundle DLC. Currently playing Black Flag for the second time. Love the naval battles!!! So damn addictive!!!
Already pre-ordered Madden NFL 15 for PlayStation 4. If the schemes don't have the players at different overall ratings compared to in-game, I will most likely keep and play the game but will wait until the opening roster update before doing so. If the ratings are different, game will be traded in the same week.
SEPTEMBER
September will most likely be spent replaying my 2012 and 2013 game of the year in Far Cry 3 (Xbox 360) and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Xbox 360) respectively which I have already started. By the time I finish both of these games, it will be time for Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor on September 30th.
OCTOBER
With Mordor being pushed up a week, I now have a two week stretch between that game, The Evil Within on October 14th and Assassin's Creed: Unity on October 28th. October is going to be one hell of a busy month playing games. Lords of the Fallen on October 28th is a "wait and see".
NOVEMBER
For me, it's all about my top two games. First being Assassin's Creed Rogue (Xbox 360) and second being what will be the best damn first person shooter this year, Far Cry 4. Taking all the stuff I loved about Black Flag and Far Cry 3, adding more and a new setting and environment puts Rogue and Far Cry 4 as the number one and number two game on my most wanted list for 2014. I'm already expecting one of the two to be my 2014 game of the year and if history repeats, Ubisoft will give me my game of the year for the fifth straight year. With the recent six week delay, Dragon Age III: Inquisition on November 18th is a "wait and see".
DECEMBER
With the recent announcement of the PSN game, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris being released on December 9th, I now have at least one game that im buying for this month. Overall, between September 30th and December 9th, I will have at least six games in a ten week span so the remaining games that I need to finish for PlayStation 4 will be played as having a backlog going into February 2015 and the year itself isn't a good idea whatsoever.
Within the next four months, I also hope to eventually finish Child of Light. If all I have in my backlog going into 2015 is Mercenary Kings, I'll be a happy camper.Comment

You're passing on Smash Bros. for the 3DS? I'm usually not big into those games but I'm for sure getting a copy. Also snagging the Phoenix Wright Trilogy when that comes out.Currently Playing:

For now, at least. Smash online play will be going long after release, and I can pick that up pretty much anytime down the road when I don't have as much to play.Comment

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
August: PS4 Madden (Looks to actually have improvements this year and I want to support that.) Also in a PS4 league so there's that as well.
September: Destiny, Destiny,, Destiny. Still not sure what system to get it on. My friend just got a Xbone so I may get it on there but I played the alpha and beta for PS4.
October: Wallet Break
November: Halo MMC (Xbone) and Dragon Age Inquisition. Unsure what system to get DA on. May go with Xbone due to DLC.
Maybes:
CoD Advanced War Fighter (Friends get it so I may get it for Xbone)
Far Cry 4 (loved the last one but may save this one for a time I want something new)
(3ds) Super Smash Bros (I really love these games a day it basically comes down to if I got enough money)PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
What I'm leaning towards now:
Hearthstone - Curse of Naxxramus expansion
Super Smash Bros. 3DS
Evolve
Far Cry 4
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Quadrilateral Cowboy
Costume Quest 2
Still need to buy Divinity: Original Sin and will probably buy Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Bravely Default this weekend in the Best Buy 3DS sale.
Maybe:
Dragon Age III - What I've seen so far doesn't really excite me. The combat seems very MMOish again. Will wait for impressions.
Alien: Isolation
Civilization Beyond Earth
Persona Q
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Destiny and The Last of Us - depends if I buy a PS4
Super Smash Bros. WiiU
Bayonetta 2
Far Cry 4
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Quadrilateral Cowboy
Costume Quest 2
Maybe:
Destiny (360)
Dragon Age III
Alien: Isolation
Civilization Beyond Earth

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
*UPDATED AGAIN*
SEPTEMBER 30th
While I already pre-ordered the game a few days ago, the reviews and scores have me hyped to play Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor on September 30th. The only negative is that Pier Solar and the Great Architects comes out the same day.
OCTOBER
With Mordor being pushed up a week, I now have a two week stretch between that game and The Evil Within on October 14th. Unless im really into Mordor, it will be put on the side as The Evil Within is my third most wanted game for the rest of 2014 and I can't wait to play the game as im expecting it to be just as good as Resident Evil 4 but with more emphasis on the survival/psychological horror aspects than shooting and action. Lords of the Fallen on October 28th is one of two games that are on my "50/50 wait and see" list.
NOVEMBER
For me, it's all about my top two games. First being Assassin's Creed Rogue (Xbox 360) and second being what will be the best damn first person shooter this year, Far Cry 4. Taking all the stuff I loved about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Far Cry 3, adding more and a new setting and environment puts Rogue and Far Cry 4 as the number one and number two game on my most wanted list for 2014. I'm already expecting one of the two to be my 2014 game of the year and if history repeats, Ubisoft will give me my game of the year for the fifth straight year. With the two week delay, Assassin's Creed: Unity is now cramped into November. Unity is the fourth most wanted game on my list but I must admit that 2.5D downloadable game that comes with the season pass is extremely tempting. Finally, with the recent six week delay, Dragon Age III: Inquisition on November 18th is the second game on my "50/50 wait and see" list.
DECEMBER
With the recent announcement of the PSN game, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris being released on December 9th, I now have at least one game that im buying for this month. Overall, between September 30th and December 9th, I will have at least seven games in a ten week span so the remaining games that I need to finish for PlayStation 4 will be played as having a backlog going into February 2015 and the year itself isn't a good idea whatsoever.
Within the next three months, I also hope to eventually finish Child of Light. If all I have in my backlog going into 2015 is Mercenary Kings and Pier Solar, I'll be a happy camper.Comment

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
The more I see of Shadow of Mordor and Dragon's Age the more I become interested. Hopefully I can wait until Black Friday or Christmas and pick one of them up if they're on sale.

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
I am done buying any new games until Black Friday. Currently playing a rotation of Madden 15 and a few PS Plus titles. NHL 15 is collecting dust and NBA 2k14 is standing by in case the return of basketball has me wanting to play a hoops title. Of course the PS Plus version of Drive Club and whatever other free games that look good will be added to the mix.
Even at Black Friday the only two sure buys are Far Cry and The Evil Within. Also buying an Xbox One for the living room for entertainment purposes first, and gaming second. So that will eat up most of my gaming budget.
Everything else will have to wait. And there's a lot coming out over the next six months or so that I am at least mildly interested in. Most games are going to end up being purchased 6-8 weeks after release on sale. I'll be playing catch up for the next 9 months or so.
I would like to get back to not spending more than $40 on a new game anyways.Comment

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
Hopefully with the onslaught of games starting in a couple weeks there will be better deals from here on out. I want to pick up Second Son again, but its still basically full retail everywhere/time I look.

Re: What Are Your Gaming Plans For The Rest of the Year?
Well I think I have a plan to try and help my habit of buying everything when it comes out then rotating through them and never finishing anything.
I'm going to buy 1 game and finish it then move on. That way when I'm ready to move on the next game will be cheaper (Used copy probably) and I'll save some $.
That won't help my current backlog but most are on STEAM and frankly I will never pass up STEAM sales although the last one I don't think I bought anything. (As I went nuts the time before)
So my upcoming games I want are: (Not including LBP as I've already paid for it on PSN digital)
Alien Isolation 10/7
Evil Within 10/14
Dragon Age 10/18
Farcry 10/18Last edited by Skyboxer; 09-30-2014, 12:54 PM.Joshua:
