When I get it, I'll go easy ... because I'm a wuss. And because I want to soak in the story without getting frustrated.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I'm definitely not having any issue with it being too easy so far, but that might be because I'm trying to MGS my way through areas a bit too much.
Having seen what the PS4 is truly capable of in Phantom Pain, it does look like a PS3 remaster to me just in the way the textures look flat. But it still looks phenomenal, and the 60 FPS is just icing on the cake.Comment

This is my second-first time, and I'm doing Hard again. You'll notice in the options what gets removed when you go higher than that, and currently I feel like I need those options handy for me. Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I was going between 60 fps and 30 fps to see the differences and although 30 fps has better shadows, 60 fps is so smooth and jitter free that it's the only way to play, IMO. I'm doing this play through in grounded mode, so far so good, I think is suits my stealth style of play. I also prefer melee to shooting, it's more gratifying and saves on resources. I'll being using bricks and bottles alot more than I did my first time through. I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog can do developing a next gen game from the ground up, I'm starting to believe that the Uncharted footage at E3 is definitly attainable with these guys at the helm.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Currently playing Left Behind DLC as I played and finished The Last Of Us a year ago on PS3. Playing on hard and I missed a bottle of alcohol that I cant go back for. Probably doesnt matter much but im restarting it tomorrow when I wake up. Kind of wish that the game didnt have auto saves and instead had save points. Would have actually helped me in this instance. Oh well.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I like that this game is still playable through Vita's Remote Play feature, but there is still something strange about it.
Let's take KillZone: Shadow Fall for example. Their update allows for separate control/sensitivity schemes for when you connect and disconnect. They also make use of the rear touchpad for sprinting and melee attacks, then the front touchpad for grenade throws and OWL usage, etc.
In The Last of Us, if I want to shoot using R2/L2 with PS4 and the L/R triggers with Vita, I'll have to switch them every time I connect. It's also a bit serviceable to lower the sensitivity for the nubs on the Vita. And strangely enough, sprinting and listening are on the touchscreen, not the touchpad. Now I can't turn when listening and I can't run when sprinting, which of course doesn't make very much sense. They need to map that to the back if they can.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
