Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Wasn't going to get it since I already have it and have beat it on PS3 but I've got the itch to play it again, are there any deals with trading in the PS3 version to get the PS4 version at a discount like I saw speculated about before release and if so where for how much?
Thanks.

Edit: I see I'm extremely tardy with my replies tonight, lol.

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Same here slick.
At 4 weeks and 3 days. I don't see myself going much higher though. I've basically been maintaining right at 80. Only when I get the chance to add clan members through challenges I'm I moving up anymore.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I dislike how weak some weapons are, but the multi-player makes it up in many other areas. The best example I can think of is how visceral this game is. I've been in several clusters online where people were dying, being excuted, and running out of ammo and engaging in hand to hand combat at one time. My wife was watching and responded, "this game is the most savage thing I have ever seen." That's actually a high compliment for this game and what it represents. My wife wasn't even saying this in disgust but more in awe that a video game can capture savagery in an end of the world scenario.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I had to put the game down or else I would probably have not slept tonight. This game is kicking my *** in the best way possible.
Some impressions from today's adventure
SpoilerThe part where the elevator snaps and you fall down, I believe the chapter is "hotel," that level, or area, is sensational. The hand crafted tension, atmosphere, sense of danger, gorgeous environments, it just was Grade A gaming, especially with my headset on. That was intense man.
I haven't been this immersed in a game since Half-Life 2. It's that kind of ride.
I felt the level with Bob, not sure what that chapter is called, (town/high school?) was exceptional as well. Really enjoyed that.
I am now at the part where we are going to try and cross the bridge at night. Give a shot and got spotted on accident, decided to give the ps4 a breather and shut down for the night
Some general thoughts:
I don't know how you guys play on anything harder than Hard difficulty. Some instances take me 8-10 tries to get through. I try my very hardest to be as stealthy as possible but even if I am super careful I tend to get spotted by some guy I either didn't know was there or it seemed like there was no way he would notice me do a silent takedown from where I was hiding. A couple areas seem almost impossible to remain stealthy. Maybe I need to get more creative luring guys away from others with bricks and bottles? If I didn't have Joel's hearing/focus I would have died probably 3x more than I have.
I'm almost afraid to ask how far I am in the story. I hope I have a long way to go still, I don't want it to end."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Just finished Left Behind on Grounded.......
Major Spoilers (Not Pictures)
SpoilerOverall, I loved it. The comparison and contrast between Ellie before she met Joel and after was very thought provoking. Many times during my initial play through I thought that the experience with Joel made her grow up fast, but after the DLC I realized that she was already very grizzled in terms of her mental toughness. It was as if the mall in her first visit was her laboratory in terms of dealing with the harsh realities of living in such a hostile environment. In her second visit to the mall, her character was tested again, and without that first encounter I doubt that she would have been able to endure what she did for Joel's sake.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 07-31-2014, 08:56 AM.Comment
