Just got to winter. Watching a playthrough of this game before I played hasn't taken away from the experience at all. Absolutely loving this campaign.

Interestingly enough, the first time I installed this game I must have not have the updates added on correctly or something, because when I pressed Pause there wasn't a Photo Mode toggle option. It wasn't until I upgraded my HDD and started playing it again that I noticed it was there. I wonder if that was just me?

Wait… you mean the pic you took in the game didnt occur at some point in the game for 99% of the people in this thread? In other words, we've all already seen or will have seen the exact thing youre posting? And the point if the spolier tags is for the sake of the 1% who is not currently playing the game…

I get it. The photo mode let's you capture screens and be creative etc etc, but out of common courtesy ore those who haven't played AND at the requests of the mods, just throw a tag on there.

I may have to bow out of grounded mode, it started off easy but now I'm just getting hammered, one punch and I'm on the ground getting my head pounded in. I could take it more if the checkpoints were a little more generous, but having to play upwards of 15 minutes each time I die is taxing. That's what's so great, it creates legit anxiety and I'm too old for that.

With some of these pics, you guys are having to hit that photomode button at the exact right time. Crazy.

It's tough man. I'm at the end of Summer, right before you get to Fall and Im not sure how I'm gonna tackle the current challenge.

I've died so many times already that I'm determined to finish it out but I understand you completely. I am already thinking ahead to certain parts and have no idea how I'm going to make it past all the instances.

I was stuck on a part last night that was driving me crazy. It's kind of like you said, if they had checkpoints in the middle of certain encounters it would be nice because I would clear out the first area and then when the second area/wave of enemies came around I would have to be absolutely perfect, no room at all for mistakes, and I would make consistently make it to one of the last two enemies before getting caught reloading, not switching weapons quickly enough, or pressing the melee button too soon out of panic and leaving myself open to an insta kill. Literally probably took me 2 hours for one instance

Part of the dilemma of grounded is some areas can be run through or avoided but you lose out on the very important scavenging

I really like the optional/additional dialogue stuff. It really adds to the characters and strengthens their connection.

The Book of Puns was a nice one.

I've treated it like dark souls. Doing death runs to see where certain things are and then just taking my time to get there with killing as little as possible to avoid suspicion.

Some small hunter areas may take me 25-45 minutes just by watching movement patterns. It really tenses up the game.

Edit: make sure to increase max health first on grounded. Max health + weapon sway.

MP is an absolute blast once you get the hang of things. I gave it a try after only playing about an hours worth id the story. Now that I've peogressed much further and have a grip on crafting and the controls its a lot of fun.
