I'm still early into the story, but one thing that has bothered me is my partner's AI (not Ellie, whoever else we have).

I just met up with Bill and I'm going through the Clicker graveyard. We are about to get to the end, I distract the last Clicker and Bill starts shooting the ****ing place up. This happened a good 5-6 times and I went to bed because I was getting pissed off.

Your AI companions will not alert enemies on their own. They're purposely programmed this way.

The only way they will break stealth is if you have already done so yourself. This was done intentionally by Naughty Dog.

If they're attacking non-stealthily, you were already spotted.

I'm gonna play the game on Grounded without playing it on anything except Normal. I do not expect my sanity to survive the encounter.

Frankly, only way I can imagine doing it will be to throw bricks and bottles everywhere just to figure out where all the bandits and zombies and such are.

Once you get it down you will figure out how to survive. Couple tips

Dont craft as soon as you have supplies, I stockpile and wait until I need Something specifically. Supplies on grounded are scarce

A lot of areas can be snuck through or ran past entirely, just keep your eyes open

Just finished this for the first time.

It has entered the Top 3 in my all-time list, easily. What a phenomenal story.

Is there seriously no way to fast forward the 1 hour 25 minute long Grounded documentary?

I only had time to watch 30 minutes or so last night. So now I have to start it all over to finish it?

I guess I could watch it on Youtube but unless I'm missing something that is quite the oversight!

I've been working my way through my Survivor Plus playthrough. I forgot how easy those all those Summer areas were. I'm trying to grab all the artifacts, pendants, optional conversations, and shiv doors on my way through this time. I'm still in awe of the story and picking up some subtle moments.

When Joel, Ellie, and Tess exit the museum and Ellie makes her "but you can't deny that view" comment Joel looks at his watch for a moment before Tess hurries him along.

Cool moments like that. Great game and storytelling.

Regarding the ending:

When Joel is driving the truck and Ellie wakes up, I kind of expected that sequence to just be an illusion of Joel's, thinking that he had gone insane and went and rescued Ellie, but she was already dead.

Anywho, I think Joel (along with Ellie) is still the protagonist of the game. His intentions may go against finding a cure for the virus, but for all we know, the Fireflies had no idea how to create a cure with Ellie's brain. The sacrifice of Ellie just for a small hope of finding a cure would have probably been in vain.

That doctor scene was insane, though. Shows truly how cold-blooded Joel is.

Yeah, if you walk into him while he's holding the scalpel, you'll grab it from his hands and stab him in the throat. I aimed at him for awhile, too, but I figured I might as well see what happens if I ran into him.

I stabbed the surgeon, then afterwards a female surgeon called Joel a monster or something of the sorts, and the last surgeon told her to "shut the **** up."

For such a linear, narrative game, TLOU offers a ton of options gameplay-wise, even in the smallest things. It's awesome.

I didn't hesitate to kill the 2nd doctor cuz I thought he'd jump me when I went past. But I did with the woman. Cuz she went, "I don't wanna die." And it made me go "Oh wait...maybe I..." but I'd already pulled the trigger and I gut shot her. And turns out depending on how you shoot the woman, she can survive the first shot and writhe in pain on the ground. I took Ellie and left the woman nurse bleeding out. Felt kinda bad about it actually.
