the older i get, the worse it gets. Its gotten to the point where i will buy a game, open it up all excited to read the manual at the very least, and not even play the game. FSW has been sitting on my desk for 2 weeks now and i have yet to pop it in and play it.

Sometimes i think it is Adult ADD or something. Glad i am not the only one feeling like this

This happens to me a lot except it's DVDs sometimes tho it happens with games. I'd get so excited to play a game and I might play it for like an hour or two then it sits on my shelf for ages. As for movies i'd buy em and sometimes never even watch it.

It makes me guilty sometimes cuz it's wasting my money.

Yeah, I used to do the same thing. Nowadays, I rent way more than I buy. Within the 7 1/2 day Blockbuster rentals, I finish 70% of the games I rent. Last games I rented? Hitman: Contracts and Red Dead Revolver. Finished both, despite Red Dead having some cheap levels and Hitman being..well, Hitman. FYI, I finished most Hitman: Contracts levels with a "Professional" rating, which is basically a hair under "Silent Assassin". My Aggression bar is never empty, because I usually kill an enemy for a disguise.

I usually buy games with either tons of replay value or long games (e.g. KOTOR, sports games, Vice City, fighting/wrestling games, etc.).

I try to limit my game buying so this doesn't happen to me. I try to make myself beat games before I buy another and only try to buy games that I know I am really going to like. I am also realistic because with a job and wife now its not as easy to kill time gaming.

The non sports games I currently own are
Halo
KOTOR
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell Pandorra Tomorrow
PGR2
Amped 2

Out of those I have finished Halo, KOTOR, and SCPT. I have put a lot of time into the others. PGR2 and Amped 2 are basically sports games anyway so I don't care about not "finishing" them.

The problem with online stuff is like for SCPT, I don't have enough time to get really good at it therefore I go online and get killed.

Right now I most caught up in trying to break a few single season records in NCAA Football along with getting the coaching victories record which takes a lot of time sitting and simulating games. Go figure the game I got a year ago is the one I play the most.

This year I am definitely getting Halo 2, Fable, and Jade Empire and of course a bunch of sports games. I think this is going to be the year when I get like some of you guys and have a bunch of games pile up because my wish list is getting long. KOTOR 2 will be out early next year, and then there is the new Rainbow 6, Mercanaries, Star Wars Battlefront, Xmen Legends, Iron Phoenix, Street Fighter Annisversary, Battlefield Modern Combat, and the list goes on.

I'm like this with sports games. For lack of self control, I always wind up buying 2 or 3 games of the same sport and always only wind up finishing one season of one game. By the time I finish, the next year's games are about to come out. And the cycle begins again.....

I got Medal of Honor: Rising Sun at Christmas and I yet to put it in my Playstation. I usually play all the games I buy for a long time, since I rent every single one before I buy it to make sure I really like it.
