How many "Total War" gamers are on OS?

I'm a massive Total War junkie on PC. I've played them all extensively going back to Rome Total War in 2005.

There are some incredible mods for the series as well, such as the Lord of the Rings Total War Mod, the Great War, etc.

Do we have any other Total War fans here?

I'm pretty pumped to check out the latest Rome II expansion with the Triumvirate Wars between Marc Antony, Octavian, and Lepidas.

Ive gotten into the Total War games over the past year and a half or so. I think what ultimately draws me to the games are the many different mods, especially the Darthmods for Empire and Napoleon. Those two are probably my favorite ones, I really enjoy that time line in history, plus not many games out there cover that time.

Im looking forward to jumping into the new update on Rome 2. Seems like that game was very hit or miss with people but I never really had issue with it, just play it for what it is. Still havent quite grasped the naval combat yet though...

I really like the Divide Et Impera mod for Rome II.

The game was rough on release..but it's really jumped to the top of my Total War list since all the patches/mods in the last year. Looks amazing too.

I play a lot of Empire and Napoleon. These were the games I always dreamed about.

The new Rome 2 Emperors Edition is getting some pretty good reviews and praise. I'm going to wait it out until the Gold edition comes out.

This might be their last hoorah before they turn to fantasy. Its too bad, I thought they set themselves up nicely for a Victorian Game or even a game that could have spanned from the 1400's all the way up to 1900. I would have loved to see the entire globe being used.

If they would have implemented Napoleons physics into Empire, it would have been awesome. As it stands, Empire with the no walls mod and a couple AI mods and unit mods is probably my favorite game of all time. Not having any sieges really makes the game a challenge.

Huge fan of Total War games, owned them all since Rome, and I loved Empire even though it was the least favorite for most people. Found Rome 2 to be mess and a let down.
I really hope we get a Empire 2 or Medieval 3 and the awesome GoT/LotR mods.

For a new IP, I'd like to see something in the Victoria age or WWI and more ready to ship then Rome 2 was.

Another long-time player here. I absolutely love Rome and I think that Empire is sorely underrated (may be just my interpretation of the community climate, but it seems like a lot of people don't like that one). I always wanted a (good) American Civil War RTS and that's about as close as I can get to it and, with mods, I can have exactly that.

Big fan of the Total War series. I recently got back into Medieval II as Portugal(love those dismounted knights). I'm waiting for a sale on Empire and Rome on Steam.

Also a huge fan. I have only owned Rome and Medieval 2 because work and kids have limited my time, but I look forward to the next game I can pick up.

The mixture of RTS and turn-based gaming is great, along with deep levels of strategy that can be involved.

I love the original Rome and Medieval 2, put many hours into them as a kid. I own all the games since then but really never got into Empire/Napoleon or Shogun 2. I was super excited for Rome 2 and by turned out to be one of my biggest disappointmemts as a gamer. That being said I recently re-download it and am looking forward to giving it another shot.

^^I saw that. Looks interesting. I don't have Rome. Haven't even got Shogun. This intrigues me though as it looks as there will be a hybrid Mideval/Rome type game.

Does that include Rome Emperors edition? also does the empererors edition come with all the dlc?
