Thanx for the impressions HMcCoy. Sounds like a great game so far. You're also right about Riddick. I think it spoiled all of us who played it with its graphics.

It isn't loud at all. Haven't seen the video you guys are talking about, but in-game, the web sound about right.

The cam is manual. There's also an option to un-invert it, on either the up/down or left/right axis, which has helped me immensely.


Another thing.

Spidey has different animations depending on when you release the web while swinging. If you get a good, full swing and then let go at the top of the swing, you're rewarded with different, classic spidey-poses. I'm starting to get the hang of it, and I swear it feels just like the 1st movie where he was swinging around the city(chasing Uncle Ben's killer)for the first time. Also cool is how you can swing and crouch on all of the streetlight posts.

I cant stress enough how well this game is animated.

was waiting till i finished the game...and now im done


fighting system is deep...you can buy about 40 moves with your hero points...lots of ways to take out criminals...you can hang them upside down from street lights...you know basic fighting...you'll fight anywhere from 2 baddies to 12 at one time

there are cgi cut scenes and in game graphic cut scenes...the final scene is one of videogames best ever

web slinging is incredible...enjoyable experience...on xbox if you hold L at the bottom of the swing you can go faster...like uber speed

i wont tell you of the bosses...there are like 6 or so...all basic puzzles...so pay attention

ummm...NYC scaling is incredible...every building, every street corner...you can just chill atop a skyscraper...and watch people go to work

the story mode is basically spider man 2 the movie ( well duh )

ummm...what else...well, there is so much you can do...i cant really describe...there is what 13 chapters...and you'd have to earn hero points(being spidey)...and like go to the bugle, your house...whatever you have to do(as parker)

voice acting is very good...lots of funny quirks...you'll see when you prevent the kwiki mart robbery

as you can see i beat in basically a weekend...there is no difficulty level...you just play until you get it right...you dont really die either

although you can save at any point in the game you start back at the last checkpoint if you turn off your system

oh..look...the credits just finished, the narrator said congradulations and welcome to part 2...i have to earn 50, 000 hero points

looks like i better get started

as i have been saying throughout this thread...this is a must buy...must
