1.Halo - I can't understand the global obession here. Metroid Prime was a much better game; as was almost every other PC FPS released that year.

2.Metal Gear Solid 2 - It's nice to see that most agree with me on this one. MGS was a great game; easily up there with SoTN, VS, and FFIV on the PSX. But this sequel -- while aesthetically prevalent and musically taut -- was too boring and short for my tastes.

3.Warcraft III - I still play SC more.

4.Final Fantasy X - A great majestic piece-of-[censored]. I loved the series (exclude 9 -- and I'm partial towards 8) but the bland voice overs, lack of replayablity, and strictly-linear gameplay left me $55 shorter and displeased to the point of potentially suicide.

WWF SmackDown: Just Bring It!

That game didn't bring anything except headaches. It had PS1 graphics and very little as far as a story mode. But the next two offerings were much much better. Maybe the change from WWF to WWE wasn't so bad after all.

most overrated game is halo imho. I mean its a good game, but i don't think its as good as its made out to be, and i have played the game.

I loved Halo, it's a good game... but honestly the way people are obsessed about it is insane. Now I am a JR in Highschool, and every single guy has played Halo, and half STILL play it like non-stop. I enjoy playing co-op with friends, but the multiplayer to me is a lot better on other FPS like BF1942. I love Halo, but well after beating it like 10 times, I felt like i needed something else, and well I've waited for 2 years now, and soon Halo 2 comes out.

I will buy Halo 2, I hope I will like it, but i just hope it does not become as obsessive as the original. Honestly, I play a lot of video games, but is it really necessary to not do anything but Halo 2 for weeks, there is this thing called outside, sports, and everything that people just feel like Halo is more important.

Now I admit i can get obsessive about games. The only games though I can remember playing like that were NCAA 2004 and Super Mario World (when I was like six). I will admit that I will end up playing Halo 2 with all my friends simply because they won't do anything else, so i hope it's good because I am going to have to play it a lot... or just put in more hours at work.

so this gen is what 5 years old...so i'd believe there were 10 "OR" games a yr...cant name all of them


but imo, there were more FPS than there had to be

Any game with Crime elements to them. No challenge any moron can play and beat them easily. Yes i mean GTA3 and Vice City also.
The reason why Halo is so obsessive on Xbox is the feeling of firing a weapon. It just feals damn good. I don't know if any of u have ever fired a gun but Halo......man i'm going to play right now.
