Ive reached a point where I can't play with randoms anymore. I'm hoping ranked play saves me. I hope that doesn't sound elitist or jerk of me but I just get so disappointed when I'm sitting there knowing they are gonna walk through us like a hot knife thru butter because my teammates won't switch and adapt

I'm with you. I haven't played with all randoms in a while. I have had decent success with finding good teams, but just those few times that were an absolute **** show was unbearable.

I actually heard the opposite is happening, but I can't find any article pointing to proof numbers are decreasing steadily on consoles so maybe the guy that told me was full of crap.

I was thinking maybe Blizzard would consider adding a mechanic where, for quick play matches at least, or maybe just until a player reaches a certain level, anytime an enemy hero gets "on fire" status a little window pops up saying something like "Bastion is on fire! Consider blank, blank, of blank to counter!" Or something like that. Or maybe that window pops up only after a certain hero has killed that person X number of times,

Even if its a massive influx of new players I just don't understand how people are near lvl 40 and don't see to know how to play. Maybe there is too much xp awarded by default and they are just putting in so much time that they lvl up that way. But you would think by putting in that much time at least some skill would rub off on them.

That was weird. I looked at social list and then I saw you spectating even though I didn't send an invite or anything . I was thinking we'd be in same game by chance.

But Ya if see me on in a little bit and have room do invite me.

Lots of stuff to take in from that dev update. Hopefully quick play does become the "sandbox" of sorts when competitive play starts.

I'm kinda lukewarm on having everyone's skill rating displayed in ranked because I feel like it'll promote toxicity toward lesser - skilled players. And, while glad we can see who in a game is grouped up (at least I'll know why my team of randoms is getting stomped), I kind of wish there would be a seperate ranked mode where everyone solo queues. Rocket League has something like that.

Surprised they didn't address team composition for ranked - I guess they're okay with 6 of the same hero on a ranked game?

Sorry to the PC guys as I've had family stuff come up. Current plan is to be back home Sunday but plans can change.

The dev update was cool. I really liked the comments on competitive play and everything. The one thing that wasn't clear though is if MMR will be a determining factor in matchmaking selection. Hopefully they still put teams in relative tiers so even if you may be a little worse off than your opponent you should never be totally outgunned. This should also lessen any toxicity since you shouldn't really be that much better than the worst player on your team. We'll see though.

I'm not too surprised about the lack of team composition changes. From everything I've seen/read they want you to really think as you are playing the game, and that may mean switching up your character lineup to counter something the other team is doing. Even if it's 6 of 1 character then the opponent better figure out the counter.

I should be around most of the weekend if any PC guys want to group up.

Sounding like there's a chance I could end up with the day off tomorrow, if so I should be on a lot, if not I probably won't be until Sunday.

Definitely need to group up with you guys again though, playing with randoms has been really boom or bust of late, more so bust.
