Finally wrapped up the initial island chain about 10 hours in. Maybe I'll start doing some story stuff and side missions now.

A lot of things to do in the game? Story, side missions, item collecting, etc?

Yeah. Stunt jumps (just jumps really, get credit as soon as you fly off the ramp), different snipe/grenade/tank/blow up stuff side missions, wingsuit 'tours', and drive the bomb - drive a car at high speed and bail so you don't get caught in the blast as it incinerates its target.

I haven't done many of those, just been liberating regions, each have 3-5 towns/military bases. Probably a dozen regions in the first island chain.

Not sure how repetitive it is from there, but haven't cared so far. Perfectly fine with more of the same. Playing on PC, runs great and explosions are oh-so pretty.

This game is insane. I'm hoping it won't get old to just pop off a couple shots in a gas tank and watch it lift off like a fire-cracker.

So far I've been running around the first area wrecking as much as I can. The game really does feel like an updated Mercenaries.

The load times are pretty bad, though. The initial load-up isn't bad (a lot better than The Witcher 3), but having to load up for every challenge and restart is lame. Hopefully they can make it better soon.

Luckily, just running around and creating chaos is pretty damn entertaining without the need/want to dive into those challenges yet. I'm also terrible at the wing-suit challenges.

I sure do hope it puts it in the right aspect ratio when it's done processing it.

Just a random 30 minutes of blowing up stuff, liberating towns, and playing very sloppy leading to my death. Crashed trying to stop the stream at the end.

How do you call out a friend's score in the challenges?

Fresh, I did this last night to extreme gamer. I believe you hit the center button and move over to the progress tab. You then go to the challenges part and I think you hit X to challenge and your Friends list comes up and you can Challenge someone.

The boys and I are having a lot of funs with this one. It's not perfect but it sure is enjoyable!

I was worried that this game would be too easy and that there would be no real threat coming from A.I. soldiers. But after watching some videos showing intense firefights, I was happy. I will buy the game whenever I can (priorities, priorities...).

Also, looks like even though this game isn't really about NPC's or the small details as GTA is, it still has some nice animations. Death animation look really good to me (unlike JC2) and even NPCs are animated decently (even if there are very few of them wandering around out there).

I love the one-liners after you do something. It just makes me smile.

I spent the afternoon Saturday and part of yesterday morning basically just sinking time into various feats and challenges with the occasional hostile takeover. I'm finally getting the hang of the grappling hook, parachute, and wingsuit as I was gliding around like a flying squirrel for close to 5 minutes. I also managed to get a 5 gear rating on a wing-suit challenge which I spent 15-20 minutes playing and re-playing.

Traversing the map is as much fun as blowing up ****. Between the various vehicles you can drive, taking a helicopter high up, or just gliding from town to town its just fun. Then again the game as a whole is the same way. Its not the best game of the year, but its a great complimentary game to say The Witcher - a game to just shut your mind off and mess around in their action-movie sandbox for a while.

Crazy week for updates - this, GTA, R6, NBA2k, and FM16

I just played for about an hour and didn't notice any improvement but I also don't know for sure if I have the patch installed. I didn't check.

I am still really enjoying this game...it is just a lot of fun!

Yeah, finally started doing some challenges and knocked out probably my 5th story mission (unlocked fast travel after spending almost 20 minutes traveling to the mission since i'd been out clearing bases, lol) in 15 or so hours of play.
