I remember them saying (I guess around AC1-2) that they wouldn't do a Japan setting because ninjas would be too obvious.

I was really hoping the next setting would be 1848 Vienna or Budapest.

Damn. Unity hasn't been on the shelf for two weeks before they're announcing another game.

I think was leaked, so not really their intention yet. But, we know with games like AC, CoD, etc, it's a foregone conclusion it's coming.

I'm burnt out on the AC series. Never finished Black Flag and passed on Unity.

I may be in the minority here but I love the AC series and would love to have another one next year. Victorian London should be a blast. Start adding some more modern elements without having to add cars, planes etc.

Maybe get to interact with Sherlock Holmes or Moriarty. Maybe even Jack the Ripper?

                      Exactly this.
Why they just don't release an annual roster update?

I actually would've preferred a different setting. I would've preferred post crusades Egypt the most. And if they were going to do London, I'd have preferred the War of the Roses more than Victorian. Russia would be awesome too; that would facilitate the more traditional multi city aspect of the first two games, and the inclusion of snow and ice (maybe even have it impact climbing) would be a fresh addition.

I think they need to vary the locales more. There's urban and frontier games, and we got 4 urban games, followed by 3 straight frontier games (counting Rogue), and now two more Urban games. At least this is the first one in years not to be set in colonial times.

And, just saying, technically there have been two games in Asia already (the first one and Revelations).

A War of the Roses/ Henry VIII reign would be awesome too. Personally, I'd love to British Raj India after 1847 and maybe do some globe trotting during the period of the Mongol conquests.
English Civil War with Crommell and Charles would be a blast too.

Since we are in Victorian Era London, is this early in her reign or later?? 1848 and the revolutions all over Europe are a crazy time or do we go to a time of peace in the 1880s but get Jack the Ripper.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I can't keep up with this stupid franchise anymore. Clear evidence why all the AC release a bug riddled mess. Trying to churn them out way to fast, money grab rather than the Naughty Dog way of quality.
