A few weeks ago I was starting to doubt Fable and then I remembered about Peter Moleneux...isn't Big Blue Box a branch of Lionhead Studios or something? They're making "The Movies" as well and I'm sure both will be awesome. (ill be picking up both )

YEah - Big Blue Box is an affiliate of Lionhead. I'm not sure of the exact business structure, but there are a few studios under that umbrella, and Moleneux consults/designs all the games.

But on a side note. The more I read about the game, the less it seems like Morrowind. For instance, they seem to have taken out the freedom while traveling. I read on gamefaqs that you cant walk around to much while traveling from city to city like you could on Morrowind. Meaning you cant walk though a forest and things like that. In Morrowind, you can easily get lost while traveling which adds more immersivness to exploring. Some places, you just dont wanna go cause it'll literally take you an hour to reach a destination. If Fable has a linear path to reach cities, that'll suck.

From what I remember reading...

You can still walk everywhere, but you also have the option to jump to a certain area that you've already been to. You may not like this, but it's definitely a nice feature for those that want to play the missions instead of walking around endlessly looking for their destination.

I think it helps both sides.

Just realized that you meant something entirely different. Yea, I'm sure Fable is much more linear in reaching areas, but if that's the biggest drawback then this game is definitely gold.

I was just playing Morrowind yesterday. That game is the G.O.A.T to me. If Fable is anything similar to Morrowind(all impressions and previews indicate that it is) then I'm all over this game like Micheal Jackson at a day care center.

All you would be really missing out on are the graphics( which are stil pretty on on the box) and mods. I have the XBOX version because this ol piece of junk called a computer couldnt handle it.

This isn't your fault, but why do they keep calling this game a RPG?

To me, it seems more like Legend of Zelda, which in my opinion is an action/adventure/RPG (if there's a better title then please let me know).

Fable is nothing like Final Fantasy, a strict RPG game. It just seems like people might be put off by Fable because they think it's like Final Fantasy when that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Well, I don't know awhole lot about the game. But I know it contains some RPG elements. From the previews I've read, one referred to it, "As close as Zelda the Xbox will get." Thats a good thing, since I loved playing Zelda back in the day.

Same here. My PC could'nt handle the huge worlds and it stuttered and staggered its way around. I loved it so much I would dealt with it till I found out it was on XBox. And believe me, I dont think you need the expansion packs. I'm still only 50% or so done with the regular version after about a trillion hours of gameplay, I cant even imagine being alive to play the expansion packs. And thats just the 50% of the main story. Plus you could DL alot of mods for even more missions. If I were a single, handicapped, unemployed man with a Xbox, then I "might" be able to finish this game.

But yea, all you're missing from the PC version is the graphics. But the XBox graphics look up to par IMO. Just less shaper. Plus I'm still playing the regular edition. Did'nt buy the GOTY edition.

definitely get the GOTY edition if you had to pick from the 2. You can get it for 20 bucks at this point, and it fixes some of the issues people were having in the original release. And i agree, at this point i am so far off from completing the main quest i dont think i will ever finish. I spend most of my time doing everything else
