I'm really enjoying this game so far. Doing a campaign with the Franks. The game just feels right. As time goes by I'm sure it will get even better.

I've been using the Franks also although I've gotten bogged down in Britain. I might get the dlc next week and go with a Brittish or Scottish faction.

I cemented alliances with the Viking tribes and most of the barbarians and setup trade with everyone. From there I moved to the Western Roman Empire. Even though that hurts your trade agreement, all your allies LOVE you for it. I've gotten 7 regions including most of the island. But now winter is coming.

I was doing great early but now nobody will trade with me so my only income is from my own territory and occasionally ransoming enemy troops following a victory.

I moved to Britain figuring I wouldn't have to fight the Huns for a while but the problem is their buildings have to be rebuilt due to cultural differences and that is expensive.

I'm leaning toward the picts with the new dlc and starting a new campaign.
